Thank you for the continued prayers.
That's awesome that amidst all the chaos surrounding a very efficacious, simple safe guard you were able to reopen your mind. Though I hope you don't need the help from the vaccine, it seems foolish to plan on not! Very happy to hear you and you family are taking good care of your lives!kevmiller said:bay fan said:Rex, you might just save a life on this board with your experience and this post. There are currently several threads of people in the fence. Thanks and I today is another step towards home!Rex Racer said:The Ragonk Strikes Back said:Do you regret not getting vaccinated?Rex Racer said:
I am doing okay, good folks of TexAgs. Know that I love you all. For the most part my O2 levels are hanging in there. We are so blessed to have Caprock Hospital here. SUCH wonderful people!
I am going to be completely honest. Yes. I wish I had been vaccinated. I am still against mandates, but looking at all evidence, getting vaccinated is the best move, in my opinion. Given the alternatives, I see no reason to purposely avoid vaccination. And I take no offense at being asked the question.
I started a thread last week about being on the fence.
Up until about 2 weeks ago I was 100% against the vaccine.
My mother ( low 60's) got the vaccine couple months ago, I was actually upset she got it... she was only one in family to get vaccine at that time.
My wife got vaccinated last week.. tomorrow me and my dad (mid 60's) have appointments to get vaccinated.
Next time, maybe I should say that I'm there for a VD test. Or maybe leprosy.bay fan said:
Kind of common sense there should be a better protocol for a Covid test. Most common is someone comes to your car and does it through a window. No offense but I sure as heck wouldn't want to be in the waiting room with you.
Perhaps if you think you have covid you should not be in the waiting room with other people. Though tbh that should be the doctor's policy and patients told what to do/where to wait, etc.eric76 said:Next time, maybe I should say that I'm there for a VD test. Or maybe leprosy.bay fan said:

Or maybe care enough to not expose people next to you to a very contagious virus they might want to avoid.eric76 said:Next time, maybe I should say that I'm there for a VD test. Or maybe leprosy.bay fan said:

For covid, they used to have you wait in your car until they were ready. Apparently they feel that they no longer need to do that.FishrCoAg said:Perhaps if you think you have covid you should not be in the waiting room with other people. I did try to stay at least 10 feet from everyone else. When the guy i knew reached out his hand to shake hands, I waved it off and gave the reason as being the covid test.bay fan said:Or maybe care enough to not expose people next to you to a very contagious virus they might want to avoid.eric76 said:Next time, maybe I should say that I'm there for a VD test. Only doctors office in my county. Second closest would be out of state.bay fan said:
Then the problem is your doctor. That's not a policy conducive to reducing spread. In fact, personally I'd find a new doctor.

I have somehow NOT lost my taste or smell through this thing. So odd. Cracker Barrel and I are best buds!
I have been trying to be pretty good, so every morning, I have had scrambled eggs and bacon. Can't believe I am doing that to myself!West Point Aggie said:Rex Racer said:

I haven't had much of an appetite here but I did just go with pancakes for breakfast. They were delicious.

I would say after my 3rd dose. I felt terrible when I got here since my oxygen was down in the 70's, so that had a lot to do with how I felt for the first few days. What is your oxygen at?
