YMMV, but here on TexAgs and my Facebook Feed the snarky posts from antivaxers out number the posts encouraging vaccination by a large percentage. Plus the snark factor for the antivaxers is a lot more vehement and persistent.
I see people on the "anti" side as hesitant but rarely see them to shame those that get. I see far more shaming from those that got towards those that did not. Would love to see the examples of people anti who shame those that got.
Since you asked I went through my Facebook feed and one or two threads on TexAgs and got screenshots to prove that the "anti" side has been very ugly and condescending and attacks every positive post I've ever seen about vaccines.
Unfortunately every time I tried to post the screenshots here it won't let me, so you're going to have to take my word for the fact that these are direct quotes. I do have the screenshots and could PM them to you maybe if you don't believe me.
Example #1: (Facebook)
An implication of lack of faith in God for deciding to vaccinate, PLUS the lovely blaming for Covid cases:
"I pray to God that those who have received a jab, will not suffer any long term health problems from this experimental jab. I also pray to God that all of this sickness in the middle of the summer is not the result of people shedding because they chose to inject the poison into their system."
Example #2 (Facebook)
I must have "caved in" and let the government take control over me because I made the decision to get the vaccine" and another one implying lack of faith in God for deciding to vaccinate,
"Please don't cave in. You have the right to stand up for yourself as to what goes into your body. Question everything and know that there are other options for treating illness. Don't let the government decide what's best for you and your family. They will not stop until they have complete control. But guess what, there is hope. That's right I'm placing my trust in God. God IS the ultimate healer."
--- Interestingly this gal lost her son to cancer a few years ago. He went through chemo. Yep. That's right. He ACTUALLY injected poison.
Example #3 (Facebook)
Getting the vaccine is taking the "Bait"
-- in response to a post that someone's fully vaccinated husband died this guy said,
"So sorry for your loss. Makes me more determined not to take the bait."
Example #4 (TexAgs)
If you get the vaccine you've got your head someplace not so nice.
"There is no empirical evidence these do a damn thing other than have adverse reactions. Please pull your head from you're a$$."
Example #5 (TexAgs)
"Put enough fear into people and they'll fall for anything"
So, those of us who have gotten the vaccine are afraid and will "fall for anything." I didn't bother to get the number of times people on f84 are called "fear mongers" "sheeple" and "coronabros."
Another very popular opinion on f16 (and in all my antivax friend circles) is that anyone who suggests using a vaccine MUST only be doing it for profit and because they're totally unethical doctors/pharmacists/scientists. (I always find that one very strange coming from supposedly pro-business pro-capitalism republicans) Just take a look at any thread here and you'll see it. It's constant.
Like I said, this is a SMALL sampling of the stuff I see nearly every day. I finally unfollowed several people. I had already unfollowed all my "natural news anti-vaxers" before Covid, so these are new antivax folks berating vaccine users.
If I’m posting, it’s actually Mrs GeographyAg.
