My local HEB got slammed after work, they ran out of practically all meat, cereal and cheese from the photos I saw.

I was in HEB in Kerrville earlier today and still saw people getting too much stuff when it was not on the shelves. Why didn't HEB impose some limits earlier. If the stores don't do It the government is going to step in and do it and then we have a really huge problem

HEB on Washington Ave in Houston was pretty well stocked this morning except that produce was a bit limited (there was a buttload of asparagus and bananas) and there was no flour. Limits on things like milk, eggs, bread, and frozen foods. The line to check out wasn't too bad. Based on the crowd control measures it was clear they had gotten slammed over the weekend.

Got me some eggs today at lunchtime.

Limit 2/customer, and I only bought one.

FINALLY got some ground beef and ham. Pure chance. Stopped in about 4:50.

As of 2:15, no cleaning supplies I was on the lookout for - disinfectant wipes and/or spray

We found eggs last night at the gas station! Only took us 4 days of looking.

Get bleach if you can. You can make your own.

Went to HEB again this morning to get a thermometer. However, there was a line wrapped around the building and they werent letting anyone just walk in. So I left, I will try Walgreens.

Does anyone know if HEB started limiting the amount of people allowed in the store?

I assume most people are at home at this point...no visitors. What are we disinfecting things for? If you were at an office or public store, I get it.

My HEB was limiting people inside yesterday afternoon, Spring Branch in Houston.

Line moved pretty fast, but it wasn't wrapped around the building or anything.

I drive by the Oak Park HEB (North Central SA) daily. There is a line each morning before opening, bit it seems to be shrinking each day. I think the binge/panic buying is starting to calm down, but it is going to take a few days for the supply chain to catch up. This store had eggs at noon when I stopped in, but not a lot. By 6:00 they were out.

Meat counter looked pretty well stocked. Produce was in fair shape.

Last thing we need is another rapid succession of announcements about more school closings and event cancellations that causes people to freak out again.

Our dog goes in and out, and we also need to keep the floors clean (no shoes household, but it can still get dirty). Also countertops, to wipe phones and devices, ect.

Boerne HEB was fine yesterday 930am. Obviously not normal, shortages in frozen veg, fewer choices for bread, absolutely no onions or single potatoes or fresh herbs. But plenty of most everything else (didn't try the paper or cleaning). Plenty of fresh fruit.

Bleach if you can get it. You can mix with water and make your own.

Just don't do a bulk batch because apparently it can spoil. Small quantities go a long way.

Yup. My wife is in pediatrics. She's a critical care provider.

We have chickens as well, but we had an unfortunate incident with our supply. One of these days, we will get more chickens and never have to worry about buying eggs again.

Went to HEB this morning for normal shopping trip (Fry and 99 in Katy) and it was almost completely normal. There wasn't quite as much meat in the cases as normal but everything was available. Produce looked almost completely normal.

The only thing I noticed they were low on was bread, rice, beans and some canned meat like tuna.

We didn't look for cleaning supplies or toilet paper so I'm not sure about those goods.

Any idea when flour, butter, eggs will be readily available again? I've checked daily and haven't had luck so far.

Do you think the pharmacy will continue to have a normal supply of medications?

Also - still looking for some info on when disinfectant wipes will be restocked...
?

Probably gonna be a luck of the draw kind of thing at each store. I bet most stores have gotten a resupply in the last week, but if you're not there soon after they're put out you're SOL.
