This is the countdown thread. This is for us pumping sunshine from now until opening day and waiting until the most wonderful time of the year. This thread is started every year, and this is what we do.

Nah, the first week or so of this thread is often filled with sadness. It's OK to be sad. I just figured with so many threads for sadness this year, we could use one thread for hopefulness.
Well, I know getting tu at Olsen would make me very happy. I'll fall in line though!
I'm sad because a coach with an offensive baseball philosophy that I bought into entirely has left, and the baseball board is overwhelmed with Zoo refugees flinging their poo in bad thread after bad thread. No intelligent discussion to be had.
It just would be nice to have one small piece of this world not devolve into the whoa and despair overtaking every discussion here. Things are bad enough as it is without spreading the muck here too. Sorry if I can off too strongly ... it was a long trip home yesterday and I was (still am) burned out by all this bad news.

I normally lurk on this board with the occasional smart aleck comment, and sometimes use Lance's posts to keep up with games when I'm in a low-data area and it's the easiest way.

My house is always open for game watching parties and tailgating. You just have to deal with my husband, who doesn't get my baseball love.
Looks like we may switch to homeschool this year, so I may be able to make midweek games and I'm excited!
