Maybe... maybe not.

I would say, though... with them drafting Cortez, it could very well be Cortez agreed to less than slot and some of that goes to Prager.

With Max having been part of the Seattle org, LAAA would have had a front row seat in the ALWest to Seattle's pitching and been tracking A&M's pitchers.

Third round is roughly $400-450k signing bonus. Not sure if that is enough for him to leave, he can make good money off of the NIL (not $400k good but a decent amount) and if he can improve his draft stock next year where he can make it to the first or second round it will pay off. Or he comes back and gets injured...

Just because someone drafts someone in the first few rounds does not mean they are going, friend's son got drafted around pick 30 and decided to go to college instead. Everyone has a number

Into the 5th round now. Expect to see very few HS kids drafted with slot values dipping under $500k. Obviously depends on which teams have cut underslot deals elsewhere.
