Holy balls, Troy is having a ****ing day!
And of course, delay as I get back in the car

Another reason to relocate this tournament elsewhere. Always rain delays.

That's it for Wansing
Seems dangerous to come back out to play. Player safety comes 1st.12thMan9 said:
If I'm Vitello I throw in the towel. TN is already in the tourney, get home & get rested & be ready for the CWS 1st round.
It could have been much worse with it coming earlier in the game. If the game was going to go into a delay, this is probably the best moment for it.PFlat said:i mean...could been worse. We just pulled wansingRED AG 98 said:

Yeah but you don't ever mess with Big Mo. Regardless whether he was done or notaginlakeway said:RED AG 98 said:

Disagree. I'd prefer B9 be played in better conditions. And Wansing was done regardless.
Oh I agree there. That would be the worst, which is worse than horrible. Better here than 30 minutes ago no doubt. But the fact that we're probably on the order of 15-20 away from being in the clubhouse and off to the hotel is not good. Not the worst, but not ideal.PFlat said:i mean...could been worse. or, blue saw standing water forming on the infield, so they paused the game. No way to know a pause helps Tennessee. If anything, having us take a sloppy field on D helps them more than a delay.HJack20 said:
SEC office made a call. Gotta get the SEC as many host spots as possible
How so? Field was already wet.CrawlingNo5 said:Seems dangerous to come back out to play. Player safety comes 1st.12thMan9 said:

Now watch them regroup

You need to warn us if you might not be around for the Shades on Sixth. The inning was over before my feeble mind realized it or I would have done it for you.trouble said:

now its even more wet. hamstrings, ankle rolls, yikes. We have played enough innings to call it a game and not risk injury to these young men.12thMan9 said:How so? Field was already wet.CrawlingNo5 said:Seems dangerous to come back out to play. Player safety comes 1st.12thMan9 said:

It's like this every year. One year there was even a fog delay on one of the late games of the day that they had to postpone the completion to the next morning.tjack16 said:
Was it last year where this tournament was almost a wash too? Due to rain?

Isn't this what they do in softball? I agree with it.cypress-ag said:
I'd like to see it rotate through some of the home stadiums in the SEC. Does it give that team an advantage that is hosting, sure, but most of the facilities in the SEC are the best in the country.
