The 6’9” junior averaged 8.7 points, and 4 rebounds for the Longhorns this season before leaving the team due to personal reasons. Mitchell had a lot of success at UMass averaging 18.8 points, and 7.2 rebounds in 20-21.

Chris Beard "won"the portal last year. Three of the players are now gone.

I bet we see Beard be a lot more methodical in how he uses the portal going forward. Last year he took a bunch of guys who were really good on bad teams, regardless of how they might actually fit in his system. It would not surprise me to see him go a more Buzz route going forward with a "Beard's kind of guy" approach with high level players, but ones that are willing to buy into his style.

UTEP G Keonte Kennedy is transferring. He averaged 14.1 PPG and 6.1 RPG as a Junior for the Miners. Started his career at Xavier. Will be immediately eligible as a graduate transfer.

Would love to see us add this kid. He looks like a Robert Williams starter kit. Would be a nice compliment to Coleman down low and would offer some much needed rim protection.

Definitely an opportunity to upgrade the talent of the roster. Now the question is - will they be able to do it?

Buzz was even handing over coaching during some timeouts if I recall. This one is a surprise. He won the Abilene Christian and Florida SEC tourney game for us. Definitely a key rotation guy even for next year lost.

I don't know what that list is, but if that is supposed to be som kind of rankings in the portal then I would never access that site.

We have tried to only put good players in this thread along with guys that might have ties to Texas or A&M with maybe the one exception being Coach K's grandkid.

Ok that list is based off some kind of HS rankings which serves absolutely no purpose in my opinion. It's not a ranking of how good they actually are now. For example Aku is ranked ahead of Kendrick Davis and most think Davis is best guy that went into portal this offseason.

If we got abogidi, I think everybody would agree that was an upgrade in talent (losing Hassan) yet abogidi isn't anywhere on the list. Not meaning any offense and just trying to be honest, but if Hassan is the 15th best player on the board then it is a weak transfer season. As Marc stated, seems almost entirely ranked based on previous HS rankings rather than what you've done since.

Also, what is up with those "NIL values". Values all over the place, too 10 players worth a couple thousand, oNeill worth 2.3MM

Hassan isn't one of the top 100 players on the board. And probably isn't top 150.

TCU is the latest program to inquire in Wichita State transfer Dexter Dennis, a source told @Stockrisers. Had visits with Indiana, Clemson — in that order, last week. Texas A&M, also another school in the mix, along with many others.

I don't see how staffs navigate this mess. When does transfer season end, ie is there any deadline for portal transfers in order to play in the Fall? I think declaring for the portal must occur by May 1st, not sure if my memory is correct on that. But I definitely don't know if there is a "must transfer by" date.
