Yeah I mean if it is this late and you have a scholarship available why would you not use it on a guy like this for depth? Texas already has 2 wing transfers who are much better plus Disu as a stretch 4. He would be lucky to even play at Texas with Timmy Allen and Christian Bishop coming in so I can't see how why he would go there.

I actually like his highlights quite a bit but man he's seriously one of the skinniest guys I've ever seen even after 4 years in college. He looks like a hs kid you would take and hope he can develop enough physically to help you in 2-3 years. He's a former juco kid so Buzz and Rock have a good track record with those guys they can sell plus losing Hall probably helps us too. Was also his juco conference defensive player of the year and looks like a pretty good shot blocker with his length.

I figure that Small will either pick us or TTU. I'm also assuming that the transfer Looch hinted at ain't happening.

I'm also getting the vibe that it isn't happening and it'll go down as another thing in Aggie basketball the last decade where "if X had happened, we'd have been better," is what people say all next year.

You talking about Obanor? I don't think anyone will say that if we don't get him. There wasn't really ever a time when people felt oh the Aggies were probably going to land him. If it was rumored we were going to get him and then missed maybe. Think it would be huge upset if we get him.

If he can shoot 40% from 3 he can certainly contribute, but hardly a program changer. Maybe Williams and Coleman will surprise me, but I'm not expecting that we'll be in serious contention for an NCAA tourney spot. Hopefully I'm wrong.

Feels like we'll probably land Small, but I'm not sure what he does that I'm all that excited about. He'll be another decent piece, but I don't think he changes the outlook for next year at all.

Whatever was going on behind the scenes with the "big transfer" seems to pretty clearly have fallen through.

Yeah as I said I don't think the kid is a star, but we don't have a good enough roster to where a guy like that can't help. And I honestly didn't think an A&M basketball savior was walking through that door this summer. This team is going to have to win as a team, not because of stars.

But yes, like I've said elsewhere, it is extremely annoying how good they're going to be right away. But that's what you get when you hire maybe the best coach in the game.

That Texas at Tech game next year might be an all-timer of a college basketball atmosphere in this state.
