Beard at Texas has little impact on A&M. The day that hired was made I said this is actually good for A&M. A&M hasn't beaten Texas for recruits in years, so nothing is going to be any different. But Tech was beating A&M for kids and I said this move is going to knock Tech down a good bit.
This is exactly my question as well. I think Coach Wolf is the main recruiter in many cases. I think Buzz' coaching staff is a bit young compared to others staffs in Waco, Austin and even Houston. Do we have anyone like that who is currently a team manager or GA? Seems like the only place Buzz looks when interviewing for assistants. Who is the last guy outside of his home grown inner circle that he went out and hired as an assistant?

I am not that excited about Desi Sills. He is an inconsistent shooter (32% 3p...67% ft) who is already 22 years old... So he is who he is. I think he can be a contributor but he does not fill the big gaps we currently have. I hope we can get somebody who can shoot consistently all

Sills would have felt 'okay' but this Williams kid looks like he could be pretty fun to watch.

His numbers all look good except his turnover rate. He had 71 this season. He has to clean that up, but I like his assist average and scoring. Looks like a tough kid.

Freshmen and turnovers go together like peanut butter and jelly. I think it's one of the easier things to clean up as players get older, especially in guys who check a lot of other boxes
