I've been to 8/10 of this year's top 10, plus other standouts like La Barbecue, Hutchins, and Pecan Lodge. The burnt end they gave me when I ordered was probably one of the top 5 bites of BBQ I've ever had.

Good to know you can still go to Truth not super early and still get a good spot in line (on a Friday and Sunday at least)
330 maybe? I lost track of time after sitting in the heat at JK for a couple hours.Chipotlemonger said:
What time did you go? I almost ended up there yesterday.
Good to know. They were cleaned out of nearly everything when I went on a Saturday afternoon a few months back, so I will get there earlier next time.jh0400 said:
My stepdad went to Longview on Wednesday for burnt end boudin at Bodacious. That stuff is ridiculously good.

Arrived at Snow's at 6:22. We are 35th in line... Wow. Just wow.

FYI, Cattleack will be closed on July 6th and 7th. And it's worth the wait in line. In my opinion, easily the best in DFW and rivals Aaron for the best in the state.
Usually about 30.Quinn said:wadd96 said:

That's crazy. Did they say how many people they serve before running out?
My guess is people in statewide sales or people that have friends in some of the remote areas of the country.rdag04 said:
Went to yeti to redeem for a prize and they said already 6 people had redeemed for the top 50 cooler. Crazy.

Finally went back to Corkscrew yesterday to check out the new digs and was very impressed. Between the rib and shoulder I ordered, that's prob the best pork I've had at a TX joint. The brisket was no slouch either. Houston may be my favorite TX bbq city/area now, and just a few years ago it wasn't even close.

Stopped in to Miller's in Belton yesterday after I picked up a new pew-pew toy. I had the brisket sandwich and my wife had the jalepeno-cheese sandwich, and we had the mac and cheese and cole slaw.
Really nice brisket. Sausage was on point too.
Now if I can figure out how I ended up in that boat with my new toy, and how it fell in Lake Belton... ;-)
Also earlier on this page. Much excite!ChipFTAC01 said:
I think I saw an article somewhere (HBJ?) that Truth is looking to open an ITL store in Houston.
I was planning on going there for the beer alone, but good to know.CDub06 said:cc10106 said:

I love their pulled pork. Best I've ever had. Been preaching that for years.
I had some pretty decent BBQ in Copenhagen at Warpigs brewpub. The best brewery in the country also serves BBQ. Who knew?
