Hey fellas - I just got in a little bit ago and had a bunch of Mama Margies tonight. If I awake and energized in time to make it I'll be there. My money is on not though.

Tacos were way off the normal standards. The forgot the cheese on my chilaquiles and as Drive on stated the eggs tasted like they were cooked yesterday. Obi Wan said the country and Egg sucked as well. Very disappointed. Personally, I blame alphamale.

Here's another one to consider: Garibaldi Mexican Restaurant, 2267 NW Military Hwy. It's just south of Lockhill-Selma, kind of across from the Boy Scout Camp. Had lunch there today, it was pretty decent. They open at 6:30 and have a breakfast menu. There used to be a hamburger place there, I think it was Gourmet Burger or something.

I did notice that Chayitos off Babcock and DeZavala was packed for lunch today. That might be a place to try in the future.

Noticed Chayitos was packed again today. I'll throw it out as a nomination for a Taco place next Wednesday, provided everyone isn't hung over from Tuesday night.

Considering the unlimited everything that'll be at the Aggie baseball game tonight I may have a difficult time making a 7am taco trip, although I was thinking a couple days ago that it's been too long.
I want my two tacos.

Has anyone tried tin star taco bar? It's on Callaghan next to the Lowe's at I-10. Is it the abomination I think it's going to be?

3. They have black beans, not plain ol' pinto.
4. They do things with avocados other than make guacamole.

Underoos - There used to be a Tin Star up on 1604 between 281 & Stone Oak, and I'd eaten there a few times.
Don't go into it thinking that you're going to get tacos, 'cause you will compare it to mexican food tacos and that's not what it is.
They have some good-flavored salsas and some unique spins on tacos. A few that I recall having were cheeseburger tacos (essentially half a burger patty w/ hamburger fixins in a tortilla. Philly cheesesteak fajitas were tasty. They also had a buffalo chicken taco that was pretty good.
If you're wanting mexican tacos Tin Star is not your place. If you'd like to sample some unique spins on tacos it's a good place.
