I have as well, but one thing I noticed is that his entry premium is ridiculously lower than what is available less than 4 seconds after he posts. Ridiculously so.

And as much of a showoff as this guy is, if he was really big time money man, he'd be showing off his largesse I would imagine . Big house, nice cars, fancy watches etc

Good info. I am sure many are hot know. Most money can be made when stocks go from very bad to bad.

How would someone get the income information? I know you could do the digging to find out his house value, but it seems either an IRS person would have had to be screwed by some of his trades (unlikely) or someone he knows has something against him that has a general idea of his income level (possible). But I don't know what details and information are out there.

You're definitely right to be skeptical, and I don't have any issue with that at all. I won't defend the guy to the ends of the earth, because he irks me a lot. He is also not infallible and has picked some real losers. But I'm positive he does not live in a 200K house in Rowlett...actually pretty sure he lives in Allen. He has gained some haters along the way and I think the few posts I've found online about him are probably by people that got burned badly. That is a risk in blindly following the advice of others.

As far as the premiums moving, that is from his chat where they talk about a trade, he makes his move, posts it there and on twitter and then people like you and me follow. McInnis on the main thread even caught it today...right after he made his BA 120p post, it lit up a scanner for 260K. With 1500 followers, even if 100 people followed, it's going to move the option price. That can happen in seconds.

For me, for now anyway, the guy could live in a van down by the river and be posting blitzed out of his mind on shrooms and coke, throwing darts at a tree with tickers on it...he's made me some pretty decent coin over the last 9 months and I'll stay with him for as long as that continues.

He has indeed hit some out of the park, I cannot argue with that. And he may live in Allen, but SmarterTrader411.com is registered to a Samir Parikh at a house in Rowlett, and his D&B shows around $75k/year in income. Obviously that wouldn't show his trading wins, but he does claim hundreds of thousands of dollars in subs a month.

And you could be right about the volume moving the price; but the amount of movement is what's crazy. I saw a retrospective about an old tweet of his that showed the premium was never actually at the levels that he claimed for winnings or buy in.

Either way; that (along with his typing) has me looking just a little askance.

I am a relative newbie when it comes to the investing world.

But when I read this thread it reads exactly like the sports gambling threads where people try to follow "name" handicappers and get burned... right down to the "picker gets a # slightly better than what anyone else managed to get".

If I'm posting Lions at +4.5 and everyone else is getting +4 or +3.5, I'm going to do 2% better than everyone else long term.

i bought the nio 4c instead of the 5. As much as we follow nio on the other thread, I didn't like the odds of it hitting. For me, I think I got a good chance to get at least back even.

I might consider averaging down at open, depending on how things look.
