YES, we may not re test the lows for a few weeks. Or next week...but we are going to go back down at some point. The higher we re trace, the more violent the drop will be.Prognightmare said:I think you'll get your chanceAgOutsideAustin said:

Yeah I'm going to go ahead and hope you don't see this happen...I wouldn't mind retesting down to the 20k level though for some buying opportunitiesAgOutsideAustin said:

IMO, if we don't retest lows by 4/24, I don't think we'll go that low again.gougler08 said:Yeah I'm going to go ahead and hope you don't see this happen...I wouldn't mind retesting down to the 20k level though for some buying opportunitiesAgOutsideAustin said:

What are you using for coming up with that time frame? Or just gut feeling?Prognightmare said:IMO, if we don't retest lows by 4/24, I don't think we'll go that low again.gougler08 said:Yeah I'm going to go ahead and hope you don't see this happen...I wouldn't mind retesting down to the 20k level though for some buying opportunitiesAgOutsideAustin said:

The last 2 Thursday new unemployment numbers were abysmal and the market didn't selloff. The 4/24 date takes in the next three and the beginning of earnings season. The unemployment numbers will be bad, as well guidance from the companies that report between now and then. If those 2 factors don't drive us back to retest the lows, then the market has already anticipated all the bad news and is focusing on what comes next. I do think there's going to be a lot of people who miss out on buying low, but I feel like the timeline is longer. Just a gut feeling for me though.

Youn guys also know that strategy of buying out of the money calls as a potential pivot point. I bought DIS April 17 $115 calls just in case it happens. $0.42 against dollars of gains per call option is a no brainer.

Give this man a CEEEE-GAR
Now take 5% of whatever profits you made and buy DIS Apr 17th $115's for $0.35 (no more than this) as your fun money opportunity trade.
I'm not touching weekly on DIS again

Going to admit i didn't sell my late morning SDOW when I should have today and took a little loss. My gut tells me, where we are now, to keep it for Thursday.

Projected between 6 and 6.6 million again tomorrow. April unemployment projected to be at least 17% once the next two weeks of data (not including tomorrow) are in the system. March was 4.4%

Clorox.
Zero downside and some upside, given the short window you've addressed for a buy and hold strategy.
