The disease isn't going away even once the curves bend - and I can tell you that hospitals won't get caught without stockpiles again anytime soon, certainly not in the next 12 months

Plus they haven't ramped your production like you'd expect. We would buy 10x more than we can get if it were available.

I'm a huge fan of consumer staples that pay good dividends right now. GIS, for one.

Edit to add: or a good auto insurance company with good dividend record like PGR.

Of course, neither are a secret right now and their price rebounds after the big fall reflect that. I got into GIS at 48 and somewhat regret doing a covered call on it... on the other hand, it did what I wanted it to which was tie up cash so I couldn't make dumb choices with my option strangles that have been dying on the vine for the past 2 weeks.

Not to mention the new norms. Households will have disinfectant on hand. People will keep small stocks of masks and things. At risk population may pick up the Asian tradition of wearing masks in cities/during flu season.

If khaos doesn't want the title, I'll own it.

Although you won't get much from me because I don't like participating in political conversations for two major reasons:
1) I find politics to be a fruitless discussion. Most people over the age of 25 have their mind made up and even the most compelling facts won't sway them. This is true for both sides.
2) I'm glad there's differing opinions, because Lord knows this place would be screwed up if we just did what I want ... and it would also be screwed up if we did what you want. In fact, things will be screwed up regardless, but in the rare times when compromise happens, we're a little less screwed up. Also a little less screwed up in times when one side has a say for a while and then the other gets a chance to make a correction back to middle.

And now for those two sound reasons, let's forget about politics and get back to business.

Context matters here. Is it just a vehicle to hold money and pick up a little interest? Or am I trying to maximize profits in that time period?

GoT was premature on bull trap last week, but still thinks 2790 is strong resistance and end of this rally. Beware of false break out hovering above 2750 for week or so (island top reversal bull trap). Finally, breaking 2850 may be a miracle V recovery rally killing bears. He is short, and expecting sharp downturn in next week or so.

2790 will also be the upper Bollinger Band and bring the stochastic into overbought territory, so a lot of indicators are in that danger zone.

I don't think the market is going to be down in the 6-12 month range. I think we will be down in the 2 weeks to the 6-month range.

Honestly, Dis or Amazon. They are going to ride high through all of this. Especially Disney. A year from now when ESPN is up and running sports again and the parks are open Disney is going to be killing it.

I sold almost all of my green to buy spxs at $12.60 yesterday. I should've waited until today. It's most of my portfolio.. We'll see if my gut feeling pays off. It has been a rough time so far.

My thesis is that it has more to do with socioeconomic factors than anything else. But race is a better headline.
