Wasn't there a discord someone started? Just wasn't that active to sit on it. This thread got more action.
Following the #BioPicks2020 contest, and I came across an old friend -- $SYBX. I've always liked this biotech because I'm a microbiologist, and this company genetically engineers bacteria to produce enzymes or other metabolic products. This would be the biotech company I would create if I had the resources. The "drug" is essentially a probiotic that you take, the bacteria are supposed to colonize the gut and then produce the enzyme or metabolite you need/is missing. In the case of PKU, the bacteria produce an enzyme that people lack from genetic disorder that degrades the amino acid phenylalanine.
The company has been hit hard when they discontinued one of their pipelines to treat hyperammonemia in late August. Shares are now ~$2.5 and are bottoming. What caught my attention is the volume that has come in in recent days/weeks. This could be a bottom and has a gap to fill to ~4.5.
I think I'm going to start getting in this first thing tomorrow morning. Its a pure trade for me to get to that 4.5 level and not something I'm looking to hold onto for a long time, although I may keep a handful of shares from the profits.
