Looks like the Brewers streak of no WS Championship will hit 56 years. At least the Padres still have a chance of ending their streak.

Let's go Mets!

I have a completely unexplainable dislike for the Brewers. I hate seeing them in the playoffs every year. Maybe because they choke every year.

It's crazy how there are 3 out of the 4 wildcard rounds ended in sweeps, and all of the sweeps were by the road team.

Home field seems to be very overrated in baseball.
That was very evident last year. The 3 MLB teams that won 100+ regular season games went a combined 1-9 in the 2023 playoffs. The 104-58 Atlanta Braves were the only 100+ win team to win even one playoff game. The 100-62 Los Angeles Dodgers and the 101-61 Baltimore Orioles were both swept in the Division Series. The 90-72 Houston Astros were the only team with a first-round bye to reach the Championship Series.

It was crazy how the road team won every game in the first postseason matchup of the Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers, who went on to win the world series. It's even crazier how it was not the first time the Astros lost every home game of a playoff series. That previously happened in the 2019 World Series.

Mets, Padres, Tigers are in the zone right now. Should be good times.

Day off today for the MLB postseason but if you're in B/CS there is an option if you need a hardball fix

Any idea when the 2025 non conference schedule will get released? Should be relatively soon I'm guessing

Hoping the ags are also playing either at UH or Rice this year on a midweek
jkag89

Last year it wasn't released until the first week in December.

I'm hoping for Mets vs Yankees with the Mets winning.

Would love for the Mets to have a parade while the Yankees and Aaron judge sit at home moping

If the Mets won it all, would Bobby Bonilla be up on one of the floats in the victory parade?

For some reason I thought this was his second. Is that correct?

A full slate of games today as all four Divisions Series get started (Times CDT)
Final: Tigers 0 - Guardians 7 (Cle. leads series 1-0)
Final: Amazins 6 - Phillies 2 (NYM lead the series 1=0)
Final: Royals 5 - Damn Yankees 6 (NYY lead the series 1-0)
Final: Friars 5 - Effin' Dodgers 7 (LA leads the series 1-0)

Yep, the Guardians have plated almost twice as many runs in the first inning today than the Astros did against the Tigers in two games.

I can't believe I'm actually pulling for the Mets in this game.

Not a good start for Wacha. Walk, double.

Wacha Houdini's himself out of runners on 3rd and 2nd and no out. Ks Judge, 3-2 for the second out, then Ks Stanton!
jkag89

Royals plate a run in the T2 but an overly aggressive send with no out may have cost them a crooked number.

Amazins take Game 1 over the Phillies 6-2. Bullpen implosion wastes an excellent start by Zach Wheeler.

And KC responds with an equally cheap dinger to right to retake the lead.
