That error was on Volpe's throw not Hamilton's failure to pick it.

He had some of the worst body language there at the end of the inning. Obviously rough throwing 38 pitches, but I almost thought he was calling for Boone to get him.

It would be the most painful way for the Effin' Dodgers to lose a WS and I'd be all for it except that it would make the Damn Yankees the first team to comeback from an 0-3 deficient in World Series History. I'm so torn.

While they did not take it to a Game 7, to have a five run lead with Cole cruising only to lose has to be pretty damn painful.

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Dodgers for rallying from a 5-0 deficit after 3 innings to defeat the New York Yankees 7-6 in Game 5 and win the World Series 4-1. As a result, the Dodgers completed the largest comeback in a World Series clinching game to win their 8th World Series Championship, 4th World Series win over the Yankees, and 2nd World Series Championship in 5 years.

Awesome series. Game 1 and this game were incredible for a long time Dodgers fan. This makes FOUR World Series wins in my lifetime.

I now cannot gripe about sports ever again. Aggies following thru in baseball, football or basketball would be icing on the cake.

That's a pretty bad loss for NYY. Had game 1 in the bag, had game 5 in the bag, lost both. Dodgers were able to come up with the big hit whenever they needed to.

From a Yankee fan..Dodgers deserved it. Before the start of the series I felt the Dodgers were a more complete team, but in baseball anything can happen.

They did all of the fundamentals better (committed far fewer errors), made far better contact with the ball (RISP as well as they struck out roughly half the number of times the Yankees did), and in clutch spots, their starting pitchers and bullpen had better execution. Wait till next year, again.

(And yes, I am thoroughly embarrassed by some of the Yankee fan's actions.)
