Crazy finish. I watched through the 8th then ran to the grocery store. Awesome surprise when I resumed and finished watching.

Now cmon Mets. Do something.

Near disaster in the first but the Mets escape unscathed.

I'm not going to predict the Mets to pull this series out, or even win this game, but they have been resilient all season. They aren't dead until the last out of the last game is recorded.

If this series was 2-2 I'd 100% pick them to win

But asking them to win both games at Dodger stadium is rough

I agree, but what gives me hope is our best pitcher is going against a bullpen game. Win that and then Game 7 is a crap shoot. Tough task to be sure, but there is a path.

If the Yankees win at all, they need to send Clase a ring

I always thought the Astros should have sent Gary Sanchez one in 2017 for his two awful drops on throws home

So it is the Damn Yankees and the Effin' Dodgers for the 12th time in World Series history, NYY has won 8 out the 11. It will be the first time since 1981 and the 5th time since the Dodgers moved to LA.

Because I had been busy watching college football games on Friday and Saturday and NFL games on Thursday and today, I did not watch the final games of the NLCS and ALCS. As a San Francisco Giants fan, I hope the New York Yankees beat the Los Angeles Dodgers.

"created the matchup that will captivate an entire nation"

Lmao every non dodger/Yankee fan is hoping both teams lose

Meh, it's a good matchup. Ohtani and Judge, 2of the most storied franchises, and a rivalry that goes back 100 years. As a baseball fan, it'll be entertaining.

Ohtani, Betts, judge and Soto

4 of the games biggest stars. The only thing that it lacks is big name pitching. Imagine Ohtani vs Cole in game 1 and 5

I grew up in LA in the '70s and was a huge Dodgers fan. While I don't like what either team does from an anti-competitive perspective, this matchup will be historical and likely one of the most watched in some time.

They are the best 2 teams and their payroll (CBT) reflects that (LAD #2, NYY #3). The Yankees are $50M higher than the Rangers who are #6. The Dodgers are $90M higher than the Rangers (which doesn't include the $900M in deferred comp).

If you don't like watching the highest paid players in MLB play... you probably didn't watch the ASG, either. And, IMO, you are probably a team focused fan who only watches his (or her) team when they win, rather than a baseball fan. And that is ok.

There are teams I don't like and games that not entertaining. As awesome as it was watching the Rangers win the WS, this playoffs has been pretty good. I hated watching Mr. October emerge into greatness, but Reggie was pretty awesome. Not Kirk Gibson awesome, but still pretty awesome.

The Dodgers will likely start Yamamoto and with Ohtani, I'm guessing every baseball fan in Japan will be watching.

The Yanks should change Rodon's name to Rodan for G1 and have him start G1.

I agree. And this should be a pretty entertaining series.

If there are fans that only want to watch their team in the playoffs, the next 4-5 years are going to be miserable.

Sasaki is likely going to be posted and most GMs expect him to go to the LAD. One reason Ohtani went to Anaheim (and stated in LA) was the West Coast proximity to Japan relative to NYC. Since Sasaki will be limited to Int'l Pool money, the LAD will likely get him for a few million and then have him as a Serf for the next 3 years and then 3 Arb years.

For the next 6 years, the Dodgers could be rolling out Ohtani, Yamamoto, and Sasaki.

And does anyone think they won't pay Soto (he'll be 26) to replace Teoscar Hernandez (31-$23.5M) for 2025.

And the Dodgers are doing it this year with the 3rd best playoff roster in the NL.

As a giants fan, but more importantly a baseball fan, I hope that Chavez ravine sinks into the earth and every dodgers and yankees player, fan, employee, announcer, chauffeur driver, sponsor, and scalper goes away forever.

Worst post season in my lifetime as a baseball fan, and the only series I won't be able to stomach watching. Disgusting end to a decent season.

I wouldn't say I only want to watch my team, but I have zero interest in the WS this year. I find the Dodgers and Yankees to be the least likeable teams. Mostly because of their fans.
