I agree with all thar but you arent going to send a 10 year vet making 20 mill to the minors. And hensely sucks worse than abreu so dont really like that option

If we've learned anything from last winter it's don't let Jim Crane, Jeff Bagwell, and Reggie Jackson run your team's baseball operations

This times 100000. But abreu probably would have been signed by click or brown. Nobody saw this coming with him
I don't think Click signs him, no way he'd commit that much money at him at his age. Brown maybe.Ags #1 said:

Maybe so, but what did you think of the deal? I dont remember hearing one person (fan) say they didn't like the signing

People are mostly focused on Abreu (and should be) because he was our big offseason acquisition, and he just so happens to be "replacing" a fan favorite in Houston (2-time WS champion fan favorite). I think it's clearly obvious that Abreu has lost almost all of his pull power. That's not good for a right handed hitter in MMP. I've mentioned on here before how I'd be just as worried about Bregman as Abreu. But I think people generally give Breggy a break (once again, 2-time WS champion), and his defense is still pretty much nails.W said:
and while much attention is focused on Abreu...
the Astros only have 3 players on the active roster with an OPS above .690 ---- Yordan, Tucker, and Pena

However he won't make probably the most important one. Crane won't allow it.
