He can't be sent down with out his agreement. I believe it's after 5 years or thereabouts he has to agree. Only way he goes down is if he's injured and if he isn't injured he is here till he figures it out or is cut.

It's really too bad Hensley hasn't figured it out because that would give him a shot and the team an option.

Personal opinion Julks started well but has trailed off. When Chaz gets healthy I'd like to see him replace Julks when Yordon isn't in left

There is no way to know that. Click operated very differently than Crane.

I was 500% on board with the Abreu signing. I wanted Rizzo at first because I didnt think Abreu was a possibility.

But hindsight is 20/20 I guess

People are mostly focused on Abreu (and should be) because he was our big offseason acquisition, and he just so happens to be "replacing" a fan favorite in Houston (2-time WS champion fan favorite). I think it's clearly obvious that Abreu has lost almost all of his pull power. That's not good for a right handed hitter in MMP. I've mentioned on here before how I'd be just as worried about Bregman as Abreu. But I think people generally give Breggy a break (once again, 2-time WS champion), and his defense is still pretty much nails.

Dana has quite a bit of work to do, IF he wants to compete for a WS title this season. Some very hard decisions. However he won't make probably the most important one. Crane won't allow it.

Pretty sure 80% of this forum knew this was a bad idea before the results even started to come in. It's pretty common for sports franchises to go in the crapper for awhile after success because the owner gets arrogant and thinks he knows better than everyone else. One can only hope Crane learned his lesson quickly and lets Dana do his job. At the very least he should listen to any GM who is hesitant to sign an aging name free agent. Remember he also wanted to sign Marte, who worked out year one of that deal but already looks very Abreu in year two.
