Thanks. Thought he was right handed. We do need a stop gap at 3B and he at least hits for some power.

A Ranger page I'm on has a significant number of people flipping out. Apparently they all thought we were going to be competing this year for the playoffs. I expect improvement, but damn some people don't have a clue.

I would be happy with 72-75 wins this year. Continue to build the rotation and see how our young talent fares with short stints in the big leagues.

That being said, we do need to find a legitimate 1 or 2 pitcher with a 4-5 year deal. Jon Gray is not that guy. Neither is a lot of.our pickups in recent years. Lance Lynn was that guy and we dealt him for good prospects.

Apparently The Rangers have reached out to Kyle Seager to see if he wants to play along side his bro for a year.

How are we not going to contend for a playoff spot if we remain healthy?!

I dont mind pitching reclamation projects. He's hit on enough. TJ surgery is so common and can be a multi-year journey that there is value to be had

I think Richards could be a good addition. His Starter/Reliever splits favor RP and if he learns to be a RP, he'll have some success. He could also be a good long-reliever if necessary.

JD has toyed with using a Starter, similar to a Closer. Bring in a pitcher for 1+ IP and then have your normal SP come in. The idea is if you know a team is RHB heavy, you can go with Richards (RHP) for as many outs as you think he can go. Probably not more than once through the order. Then, bring in a LHP like Martin Perez or Matt Moore.

Morgan Wallen at the ballpark OCT 8... Guess Rangers assuming they won't be hosting a playoff game that day.

I know a guy who knows friends of Trevor story. His wife is pregnant and has family in North Texas. They want to be close to home. If story is willing to play outfield, this could possibly happen.

Thirty minutes and a little internet sleuthing later, and its revealed that the account was being run by one of the sons of the Rangers' hitting coach.

So this Story thing might have some legs.

Red Sox and giants also in mix for Trevor story. The Red Sox want story to play 2nd base and he might not be into that.

Decision is supposedly expected soon by him.

I'd be okay with Story at 3rd for 2 years. I'm iffy on his home and road splits but he obviously has huge upside. 2 years would allow him to "prove it" and wouldn't make us have a crippling financial commitment to him. Guess we'll see

Also if that account really is run by the hitting coach's son, I'm laughing at imagining how much trouble that kid is in at the moment
