Weve now played 69% of our games against teams who were .500 or better when we played them, winning 62% of them. Our overall win % is 63.6%.
Insane.
Insane.
I put my predictions above and added the 2 games with Texas you had as Toronto, along with home or away for context. Surprisingly after going series by series and not doing any fudging, my predictions ended up right at 34-18.bearkatag15 said:
52 games remain this season
(7-3) 10 vs LAA, 3 home, 3 home, 4 away
(6-3) 9 vs SEA, 3 home, 4 home, 2 away
(3-1) 4 vs DET, home
(1-2) 3 vs TOR, away
(2-1) 3 vs KC, away
(3-0) 3 vs BAL, away
(1-2) 3 vs CWS, away
(1-1) 2 vs COL, home
(2-0) 2 vs TEX, home
That's 39 of the 52. The remaining 13 vs teams with an actual pulse.
(5-3) 8 vs OAK, 4 away, 4 home
(1-1) 2 vs MIL, away
(2-1) 3 vs TB, 3 home
Thoughts on potential final record? 34-18 the rest of the way gets the franchise record in wins.
I love it.agproducer said:
Apparently, the Astros are now MLB's villains.
Based on a few small snippets I was reading yesterday, he's a weird dude. Gonna be wildAg_07 said:
In general what's Greinke like with the media? Has he spoken at all since the deal?
I do too. They hate us, 'cause they ain't us!Beat40 said:I love it.agproducer said:

I loved that they tried to make Harden NBA's biggest villain last year.
It's so much fun.
After the hell we went through for more than a decade, everyone else can EAD.agproducer said:

He has social anxiety disorder and has been managing it with Zoloft for years now. He doesn't like doing interviews but it seems to be a non-issue now.Ag_07 said:

"I didn't know what to expect when we met with him in the winter. But once you meet with him, it felt like a non-issue. It didn't feel like it would be anything that was tough to deal with," Mattingly said. "He was honest and up front with us about it and how he deals with it."
Even though the disorder was treated and has all but been minimized years ago, it still seems to come up when discussing Greinke. Maybe it's because he is different, with his quiet, seemingly disinterested demeanor, and dry monotone delivery when answering questions.
Based on all I've read, he sounds awesome.redline248 said:Based on a few small snippets I was reading yesterday, he's a weird dude. Gonna be wildAg_07 said:

Gonna be hard for him to see it from your basement.Juan Solo said:

He's had his ups and downs in the postseason, but I love that he's got experience. 67 inning in Oct is big. He's never pitched in a WS though. Let's change that. Also, we have to 100% make sure he's pitching at least once at an NL park during the WS. He's an edge without the DH.

We havent made it to the WS yet, guys.

Only question that none of us know the answer to is "do his anxiety issues make him not the ideal game 7 starter?"
I thought I read that the Yankees were on the no-trade list because of the pressure that comes along with that. If that's the case, maybe he's your Game 2/ Game 6 guy.... or Game 1/ Game 5 if you're going to force his bat into the lineup in the WS.
Also could be nothing, just something to think about in the future.
I think this is the year they miss the WS. They're the best team in the NL, no doubt, but going to the WS 3 years in a row is so rare.Water Turkey07 said:
Pitch him game 3 in Dodger stadium and that should line him up to pitch a possible game 7.
