Nice win, some great fielding and timely hitting...Cole wasn't himself but 1 run in 7 innings is fantastic even if it took some fielding gems.

Schedule eases up in August and we shouldn't have to throw anymore AAA arms from here on out. Finish strong and aim for home field.

Just flipped to MLB Network....Dodgers v Padres. Bellinger hits a homer. Dodgers beat record in baseball...5 hole hitter must be a monster.....nope some tubby named Tyler....proceeds to hit a week grounder to third. Can't wait for the World Series.

and these next 2 weeks vs. the Mariners, Rockies, Blue Jays, and White Sox...

are also where the pitchers & hitters can fatten up their stats and make big moves toward a 20-win season or 30-HR plateau or 100-RBI mark and such. Pretty up the back of their baseball card so to speak

Rondon for sure. Devo still has options that we can use but he's pitching well lately. Maybe McHugh if he can't get his ish together. They can milk James' rehab until Sept.

We were basically winning 2/3s of the time with a difficult schedule before Yordan and all of our guys were healthy, let alone after trading for Grienke and our other two pitching additions.

I think we take the season record.

Fangraphs has us projected at 104-58. Given the teams we play the rest of the way that seems fair. I will say 106-56. I think this team doesn't take their foot off the pedal.

Sneed goes down when The first of Peacock/Pressly comes back. Also likely that someone else will pick up a small "ding" before both come back. They'll get creative to get us to roster expansion on Sept 1 - Pressly and Peacock will take longer to come back than normal and/or someone that picks up a small ding will just go to the IL to buy us a roster spot.
