It's not the state nor the stadium when every hitter is seeing meatballs over the sweet spot of the plate. It's the whole freaking plan coming into this series. Almost like Mills and the hitting coach put their heads together and said.. "wow, these guys cant hit. Lets challenge them with every pitch right over the heart of the plate."

And now they are sitting there shaking their heads like the gameplan should stay the same.

I hate our coach. I hate him more than I hated Jimmy Williams and thats a whole hell of a lot of freaking hate. Slap a tombstone on this team, hire Phil Garner, and lets make an actual season out of it.

Why the hell was Phil Garner fired anyways. He took over the club half way through 2004. Helped them crawl out of hole they were in and make the playoffs as a wildcard where they made it to the NLCS. The next season he led them to the world series. In 2006 they missed the playoffs by 1 and a half games to a Cardinals team that won the world series. By 2007, Bagwell retired and 2 of the starting pitchers in Pettitte and Clemens were gone. The team was old and breaking apart.

I always thought he was a good manager.

Cecil Cooper IMO. Cooper was arguably the worst Astros manager in history.

While the pitchers are getting shelled I've come to the realization JD Martinez is a horrible outfielder.

If he can get his sheet together at the plate he should be our DH next year.

The signing of Lee and Woody Williams led to the 2007 draft that did not see a single player make it to the big leagues in any capacity for the Houston Astros. As a matter of fact, all players drafted and signed by the Astros in the 2007 draft are out of professional baseball.

Don't forget trading Zobrist for a half-season of Aubrey Huff. We kept Zobrist at AA because we didn't think he could be a major-league shortstop (At that time Adam "Never-hit" was our shortstop)

Zobrist has been a solid starter and an All-Star since.

All Drayton wanting to "be a champion." He thought the average IQ of the fan was 80. He thought he could just make some washed up signings and talk about competing and it might just happen. He's such a piece of ****.

Yep. 2007 draft. We lost our 1st and 2nd round pick because of Carlos and Woody. Then we didn't sign our 3rd or 4th round picks because Drayton refused to go over slot and actually invest in the future. Plus he never wanted to upset his welcher buddy, Bud Selig.
