The Astros ended up with 15 runners left on base tonight. The Dodgers walked them 7 times and they still couldn't come up with any more than 1 run. I was happy to see Happ battle through this game but that 1st inning sealed it. The bullpen came in and did well too. The umps were calling everything against us tonight. No luck whatsoever in this one. Another close loss.
And its the fault of the same people.. Johnson, lee, snyder, maxwell. Its time for mills to stop ****ing with the lineup. The guys get in a groove and you either sit them or move them in the order.
Scored 11 runs the other night and now 12 runs today. This lineup is capable of scoring! We just need a consistent approach instead of opening the floodgates in one game
Today's win had to feel good after struggling the last few nights. We've seen what they are capable of at the plate, just gotta find some consistency now!
This team is so much better than the teams of the past. The line up is actually starting to fill up with guys that take pitches and work walks. 80 pitch complete games are not going to be thrown against this team this year.
The Astros Pythagorean win/loss record is 10-8. They are 6-12. This team is much better than their record and will put some winning streaks together this year no doubt.
You have to remember that right now they are on a pretty brutal stretch of games on the road. No doubt this team will get back close to .500 soon.
What is the Astros average with runners in scoring position? It still seems like they are struggling to come up with big hits. They get lots of singles but not enough doubles and HR's.
