Reed has had a rough couple of games on offense after that blistering stretch.

Sengun out again with back pain leaving us with Capela as the lone big man.

We're going to need someone in addition to Durant going off.

Durant's 2nd half less than good so far

And turnover bug has been awful

Yeah he's been bad after the intermission thus far.

Still up by one.

Worst "playoff" team I've ever watched. Time to rid ourselves of Ime?

Maybe the worst offensive 4th quarter played by any team in the NBA this season.

Ime doing absolutely no coaching or making any adjustments the entire 2nd half was remarkable but completely unsurprising

12 points in the 4th quarter
9 turnovers vs. 4 made FG in the 4th quarter
Only 1 FG in the last 6+ minutes (garbage layup with 20 seconds left)
24 turnovers in total (17 in the 2nd half)

KD ISO ball is probably only successful when a) he has the threat of actually getting up a three, or b) when he can get a foot inside the line and do his funky driving routine.

I know it's not gonna happen this year (or with this coach) but initiate the offense with Amen and Reed please for the love of god

There is just no offense. It's so one dimensional with KD being the option and when he's off, like he was in the second half last night, we're toast. I'm good with his high turnover rate as the tradeoff for buckets since we're still a good defensive team as a whole to cover that end. But with Sengun seemingly regressing somewhat, Tari completely ****ting the bed on offense, Reed being the most hot/cold player ever...it's a rollercoaster to watch.

Udoka needs to lock in. His coaching strategies go completely dark in the second half of games, especially the winnable ones.

FWIW, I was there last night and an observation on the Lakers: LeBron and Luka do NOT talk to each other. Weird work environment they have there. This makes the loss last night even more frustrating. Standings aside. Such a winnable game.

Good thing we have held on to Eason. Woof, what a disaster he is. We could have traded him when he had some real value.

He just freezes on the double teams. He's all-time elite as an ISO guy, but he can't initiate the offense.

I guess not coming to terms on an extension was actually a good thing for us.

He seems to be recognizing that. Here is a post game quote from KD:

"First half, I got comfortable in iso, comfortable coming off of pindowns, pick-and-rolls, and they decided not to let me get comfortable no more. So I got to be smarter, better with the ball. I got to maybe shoot over some of them double-teams, but space out, be ready to catch and shoot, be ready to be a screener, just be in a dunker spot, just being able to be there as a resource for my teammates to provide space. I didn't need to have the ball as much as I did tonight."

The offensive solution is to play Reed more, and actually let him drive the car.... unfortunately there are games where Reed puts up 0 resistance on D and it becomes a no win situation. Everytime he got on the floor the Lakers would just put him in off ball screen actions where he ended up switched onto LeBron... easiest bucket on the planet.

The other alternative is to let Amen run the point, but he can't shoot so the defense just sags on KD.

Without FVV there really isn't any viable solutions for this mess. Every really good team has at least one two-way PG that can shoot, we currently have 0.

When Reed is hot we can live with him trading 3s while being hunted on D, but for the season he's shooting 38.7% from 3 on 455 attempts. Jabari is shooting 36.7%, has a better eFG%, and provides rebounding and defense.

Reed can't be a worse (or roughly the same) scoring option as Jabari when that's supposed to be Reed's strength. Unfortunately, like a backup big after Adams' injury, we decided we didn't need to address the issue after FVV went down and we are stuck with it this season.

I'd rather KD ISO early in the shot clock, when it gets under 10 and he has the ball it feels like it's barely 50/50 if we get a shot up or turn the ball over.

I think Stone didn't want to trade for KD in the first place and didn't want to further invest in it once it became clear it wasn't working. I bet Ime or him are gone in the offseason

I mean in general we should push more in transition, which means more Reed/Amen. I don't think KD should be bringing the ball up.

More transition means steals or defensive stops which I feel isn't a huge ask from the team. Against a set defense, it feels like we have no chance as the roster is currently constructed.

Once we chose to sit still and do nothing after losing FVV, I figured the front office wasn't serious about winning a championship this season.

Possible there wasn't a PG that we could sign or trade for that would've made a difference.

Seems like we're using this season to further the growth and development of Smith, Shepherd, Thompson, and Sengun.

The number of live-ball turnovers leading to a Lakers runout has been atrocious...it's one thing to travel or throw a ball out of bounds, but it seems like all of the Rockets' miscues have gone back the other way for an immediate bucket.

That our entire season hinged on an injury prone guy this played 18 mins a night is absolutely insane.

I love Adams. Truly, love him as a player, but this is idiotic.

It is time. Thank you Ime - you pulled the Rockets out of the Harden cancer culture, but they've gone as far as you can take them.

And it's amazing that this defensive genius' defense only works with elite lanky freak athletic defensive studs. He can't scheme up anything to hide defecencies.

What would it take to get Will Hardy? Is he tired do being forced to lose in Utah?

This season was over before it started. Turns out having a PG is important and Fred not being replaced with even a serviceable PG was a bad idea. The way we are playing now is who we are, that hot stretch to start the season was the anomaly.

We were much better with Adam's healthy.

But yes, no semblance of an offensive system from this coach. Insistence on running out 4 guys that are 6'10ish+ and neglecting playing Reed Shepherd for a year and a half is showing itself.

Agreed, with Adams we could cover up some of those deficiencies by getting a billion offensive rebounds a game and protecting the rim. A washed Capela just doesn't do that for us.

Instead of DFS, I don't understand why they didn't try to trade Coby White into the MLE for a couple of second rounders.

The team already had plenty of forwards but they were noticeably lacking in guard play even before Fred got hurt. If red stays healthy, you still have a backup point guard that can light up the nets.

All I can think is there's a battle between Ime and the front office and Stone knew if he go Ime another guard Reed wasn't going to play.

Nothing else makes sense
