I actually think Reed gets trapped a fair bit. He is too short and big guards can easily crowd him out. Teams with big athletic guards really cause him problems. He is young so you expect inconsistency, but its a real problem when we rely on him to be the offensive initiator and he is having a "down" day. It sticks out like a sore thumb and he can become almost unplayable if the other team can target him.
At the moment, I think Amen is probably the safest bet to get it across the timeline. He just has more value off ball, so it makes sense to let others do it. We like to roll with KD and Sengun as offensive initiators, but it breaks down terribly when the opposing team doubles up top or applies a full court press. That should be a relatively easy situation to counter, but we sometimes look like a JV basketball squad when it pops up. I imagine most of our opponents know this and will try to press us at some point in the game. It's a better strategy than letting our bigs set up camp in the lane and bludgeon you with offensive rebounds. I expect we will see it more and more as the season goes on. Ime really needs to give the team more structure or we need someone who can provide a steady hand in tough situations.
