The Astros used to have a player named Glen Davis. His nickname was "the Sultan of solo swat" because 90% of his homers were with no one on base.

Durant is the same player. He is so good when it doesn't matter and so bad when it counts for anything. He doesn't even try to get the ball late in games anymore.

Glenn Davis had 190 career homers.
85 of them came with runners on base.
That's 45% of his homers with runners on base and 55% with the bases empty.

Half of those leaked messages were Durant complaining about people complaining about his turnovers. Can't imagine why people complain about those

Which is weird because he's averaging less turnovers at 3.2 than he has had in 4 of the last 5 seasons. It's literally his career average turnover rate.

The funny stat is that he's averaging more minutes per game at 36.7 than he has had in all but two seasons since 2013-14 when he was still playing with the Thunder and is still shooting 50.7/40.9/88.1%.

Only Amen plays more minutes. Sengun averages more turnovers per 36 minutes.

Bagwell would have been a better comp for not doing anything when it counted except for the fact that Durant is a two time finals MVP. He's more like a still good Pujols (2 championships and 4th all time in HRs). Davis is No. 425 in career HRs. The NBA scoring lists don't go below 250 spots on basketball reference.

That is a good win on a b2b. Reed is really growing up.

Reed is shooting 49% from 3 since the All-Star break.

Hopefully he stays hot, because the injuries are starting to mount up. Tari looked hobbled all game and Bari is probably out a bit with an ankle injury.

Great to see Reed play such a big role in the W.

The craziest thing about the 21-0 run was that it happened in only 3.5 minutes

I went to put my kid to bed right when 21-0 run started and came back right when it was done. Is there a complete video recap of it?

Cocaine Curry was on fire last night. Makes up a little bit for the meltdown the team had a few games back.

Same here. Put my girl to bed down 19. Came back downstairs and we were up 4 with a minute left. Came down just in time to see Reed's dagger 3 pointer.

Looking a a snapshot of the Durant trade as far as the players (Phoenix is doing quite well regardless) Maluach hasn't played much, Brook's points per game are at a career high (17.2) but his efficiency is worse than his two years with the Rockets, and Jalen Green is still finding his sea legs 12 games in and is underperforming the already woeful efficiency he had with us.

(JG is hoisting 13.7 FGA per game at 36%, 6.6 3s at 27.8%. and is 71.4% from the line - combing for an eFG% of 42.7%. He's pairing that with a career high in turnover rate per 36 minutes. Enjoy that contract Suns.)

If you have Amazon Prime you can watch a full game replay there, or if you bought the Space City Home Network stream package, you can watch full replays of any game.

Jabari out with the ankle sprain against the Magic.

Ackerman's lead in "And a friendly reminder, it's not the Heat you have to worry about, it's the Houston humidity" was almost enough to make me want to check out the Amazon Prime broadcast.
