The Spurs play a reeling Philly tomorrow. The rest of our schedule is pretty tough but we have a legitimate shot at the 8th or 9th seed.
The Kings are getting rocked right now meaning the Spurs will be at least two games ahead of the rest of their competition in the loss column.
Or spurs careers.
Seems like the team is playing pretty well after the long layoff.
Gonna be tough tonight vs the Sixers unless Jakob really steps it up. Other than him, there's no real answer to Embiid on defense. But who knows, the Sixers seem to be trending the wrong way.

Obviously the sixers are much more talented than Sacramento or Memphis, but neither team has been able to really exploit our super small lineups. I think the other 4 guys on the court all switching everything, it's made it hard for teams to get the mismatches they want out there.

Maybe we can get him for a bargain in RFA because of this problem.

Embiid's size is definitely impacting the Spurs defense. He's not just dominating us by himself, but he's drawing so much attention that lots of guys are getting open 3s and cuts to the basket. Gotta adjust and rotate better.
And Poetl picks up his third foul in the beginning of the second quarter.

Need to stay more disciplined defensively but these lineups are really showing some grit. I fully expect us to run out of gas in the second half on B2B though.

We've had to fight through this half with Eubanks and Witherspoon giving us big minutes and even Tyler Zeller getting some run. Offense is still clicking, but we've gotta find a way to string together some stops in the second half.
Does anyone know why Lonnie hasn't played more? Did he get hurt and I missed it?
He's just not playing all that well. Maybe it is because he is injured though. Not sure.
We have no answer for Embiid.
Sixers defense has really tightened up too.

Just not much they can do unfortunately. Jakob is the only big capable of slowing down Embiid and he has been in foul trouble all night. Embiid might be the most frustrating player to watch, he could literally score underneath at will tonight but has to toss in some jump shots just because.
You hear that a lot from Chuck and Shaq how Embid could dominate inside but wants to take those long jumpers.
I was afraid this would happen during the bubble. This team doesn't play defense and what happens when they go cold like they have in the third? It does not make a good combination.

That was a shot clock violation at the end of the 3rd on the sixers. Two points should be off the board.
You're right. The game should be tied. Not sure why the refs didn't review that.
