How did the saviour play?
28 points, 4-7 from 3, +29 in plus/minus. Not too shabby.

What an awesome comeback; finally Harden doesn't get a call. Love seeing it

I kept waiting for the refs to send Harden to the line in both OTs.

We did a much better job defending him the second half. He shot 15 free throws in the first two quarters and only 9 the rest of the way. Did a much better job of not sticking their hands in and picking up cheap fouls. It certainly helped that Harden wasn't knocking down those tough 3s that he's capable of, but that's what you have to do. Make him take tough shots and hope he misses and tonight he did.

Walker had a great night, I hope we look back on this as the night it clicked for him. Little bit of a rough start, but crazy fourth quarter and a big part of the reason Harden was under 30% from the floor and 5 of 20 from 3.

I think you have to put him in the rotation. He worked through his bad start and got settled because he was given time to do so. Hopefully a sign of things to come.

The Rockets are hopeful the league office will either award the victory to Houston due to the Rockets outscoring the Spurs in regulation or order that the final 7 minutes, 50 seconds be replayed at a later date, sources said.
That was a pretty egregious call but the officiating last night was horrendous both ways. I suppose that means the Spurs would get two extra possessions for the missed back court violation and out of bounds on Harden. .

It is exactly this mentality of a Rockets team led by Harden/D'Antoni that prevents them from winning a championship. Every other championship contender would move on and put it behind them. What babies.

Also maybe they lost because their two MVPs missed 50 shots. Lol

I have a legitimate question for the obsessed Rockets fans who linger here on Daddy Spurs thread.

Do you honestly enjoy watching Harden play? Isn't it difficult to watch the game stop every 3 minutes so he can shoot free throws? Is it inspiring to know that the face of your franchise cares more about charging head down through the lane hoping to draw a foul than he does about actually making a layup? Does it bother you that he gets visibly upset when he misses out on some kind of meaningless personal scoring record?

When will he and his pizza boy coach learn that they are never going to win a championship like this?

What are the chances they have to replay the game starting at the Harden dunk? I saw in the ESPN article that it happened in 2008 when Shaq did/didn't foul out. I would vote that disqualifying a player is a bigger deal than a missed basket

Slim to none. If the refs can't change the call during the game (like they change a 2 to a 3 or vice versa) they shouldn't be able to change it after the game. That is a very dangerous precedent to start if they do. Otherwise, it's like every game should be replayed after a L2M report.

This is exactly why they shouldn't do anything. I'm biased being a Spurs fan, but if you want humans refereeing the game live, you're going to have to accept human errors.

That call wasn't the reason the Rockets blew a 22 point lead. That call didn't force harden to miss 73 field goal attempts.

Nine times out of ten, Harden and the Rockets are benefitting from poor officiating. Yes, there were bad calls, but at the end of the day, you still blew a 20 point lead lol

The Rox are embarrassing themselves. One bad call with almost eight minutes left does not swing a game unless it's an ejection.

If the league grants the appeal by the Rockets on this, I'd like to have a word with them on about 20 games in the big three era.

Exactly! I doubt that it happens but if it does it opens up a whole big can of worms about missed calls. Just look at the traveling non-call on Lebron last night. Even he admitted that he walked, it was obvious, the refs missed and the Lakers scored on the possession. Bottom line is, more calls are missed in basketball than any other sport. It is actually part of the game now.

Agree that was a ridiculously bad call not counting that dunk. Was stupid also not going to replay to review it.

Also agree can't replay the game. Have to live with it if you are a Rocket.

At least Marco made some shots. Back to the bench for Lonnie.

No surprises. The NBA screwed up, but they can't replay a game because the officials made a mistake 18 minutes of game time before the game was over.

Or miss a free throw(s) in the final seconds.

Also we have a lead and put in Patty Mills instead of DeJounte who has been a defensive stud all game and has no minutes restriction. WTF?
Ulrich
How long do you want to ignore this user?
24 games into the season and our play when we have 7 seconds left in a tie game is still "DeRozan dribbles on the wing for 6 seconds and bricks a 21' contested iso fade away".

As long as I can remember when the Spurs have a long day of rest they don't show up the next game and I wouldn't expect this team this season to be any different.
