quote:That was in a Rockets Fan Season Thread. Staff made it clear plenty of times.
Someone jog my memory, because I'm old. What team's fan base whined all year about Old Rivalries type posts?

This thread is fair game, and I doubt staff will assert authority in here unless you post something a little over the top.

quote:Parson's is solid. He's a talented guy. He fit our team great. However he is VERY overpaid and his defense has gotten worse each year.
I think Brewer and Parson's health are some big x-factors in this series. Whatever jokes you might have, Parson's has been big for us this year.

quote:Something along those lines.
He was going to make 1-2 mil this year, right?
quote:No. There was a "deal" in place that the Rockets would let Chandler out of his contract early in order to get Dwight. The plan was always to resign Chandler because no one expected him to get the kind of stupid offer he did.
So, the lineup should have been Howard, Jones, Parsons, Harden and Beverley. Brilliant move!
quote:As it played out, it was more like Lin, Asik, Parsons, and a late pick for Ariza, Dorsey, Smoove, Brewer, and slightly less late pick.
That was a crazy summer. It started when we thought we'd have a super team in Houston but than Bosh resigned with Miami. A little later it was made official that we lost Parsons. The Rockets pretty much traded parsons, Asik, and Lin for Araiza.
quote:
The offer he got wasn't all that unreasonable compared to where most people projected that he deserved. Most of the time when a player is bid on in restricted free agency, they are offered a little more money than they are projected to make.
That wasn't stupid and unreasonable, as you said. It was enough to make Morey think long and hard about it and ultimately decline it.

Well looking back to Asik and Lin's RFA deals, you said those were unreasonable.
quote:He has proven it now, but at the time the sample size was tiny and he was great once he got an opportunity (in NY). It was a calculated risk for a team with no good players.quote:quote:

Lin was never worth that Much. That's pretty proven. Asik is worth 8mm in the right situation. He was a pouty crybaby after Howard signed and want worth that anymore. He still can't play big minutes and be effective
But sure that's the best example.

Mavs in 6.
Dirk doesn't have to worry about Ryan Bowen this time around.

Parsons is going to return to Houston tonight and stick his $15 million a year up Morey's ass
LETS GO MAVS
