Cuban's been the best thing that's happened to the Mavericks. He's a man committed to winning and to his team. As a Rockets fan I can definitely appreciate that. I can also see why Dallas fans like him so much.
That being said, he's gone out of his way to antagonize Rockets fans and Daryl Morey, and just act like a complete ass in general. So yes, it is funny to see him upset.
Not going to disagree that the Rockets are better than the Mavs this season though. That's pretty obvious, although not much of an accomplishment.

There's 0 doubt in my mind that Cuban does it to drive up the rivalry. He needs to work at drafting better though and not making crazy FA acquisitions. I think he's a stellar voice in the league for fixing things and implementing good polices though.

But who else has he done it to? The whole "rest of the team isn't very good" comment seemed like a bit, because the Rockets have one of the deepest and most talented collections of talent in the league, and surely Cuban knows that.
The spat with Morey seems genuine though.

Tbh I think the Mavs need a 3-5 season walk in the NBA lottery wilderness and rebuild completely. Trade Dirk for picks and do it the right way. Does not have to be this next season, but do it while you can still get picks...

I believe they were a .500 team after acquiring Rondo, and had a very poor record against good teams for the entire season both with and without Rondo. Basically they dominated bad teams during a relatively easy first half of the schedule, then coasted the rest of the way as a very average team.
I think they would have a hard time beating the 3-8 seeds in the East at this point.
Dallas has lots of d-bags, as does Houston.
count me as part of the Houston contingent that genuinely likes Cuban. understand that he's an easy guy for some to hate, but his schtick is good for basketball...
