This game just reaffirms to me that OKC is going to win this series with ease.

how can you say that with such confidence? The Heat have pushed the Thunder to the limits in their own house both games, and are the only team to beat them at home in the playoffs?

Even though my pre-postseason prediction was Heat in 6 I still think the Thunder should win the the finals, but "with ease?"

Durant was given a freebie on the blocking foul that was a clear charge on Battier and got to play out the game. I'm fine with swallowing the whistle on the final shot.

Battier's bank shot 3 and the bad goal-tending call against OKC were the difference.

If they had called the charge on Durant like they should have, neither of those would have mattered.

After watching it again, I don't think it was a weak foul. That said, yes it absolutely matters if it was a weak foul. Weak fouls are let go(and rightfully so) all the time.

The amount of lebron fellating in this thread is surpirising. Where were you people in....ever?

Think Bosh was the bigger deal here throughout the game.

15 rebounds, 8 offensive, 7 defensive.

That wasn't a charge on Durant. Battier isn't at Duke any more, where you get to slide 6" after the player leaves his feet, or 12" if you're white.

I want this to go 7.

I also want the thunder to learn how to play well in the firs quarter

Miami has an NBA title solely because of calls far weaker than that. Game 5 in 2006 was decided on free throws that resulted from a drive in which Wade was, literally, not touched by a soul until the ball left his hand.

I have been defending James since, like, forever.

@nbastats: That was LeBron's FIRST clutch (5 pt game, 5 mins left) basket on the road in the Finals in his entire career #Finals

He stopped sliding before KD made contact.

Doesn't matter if he stopped sliding. Sheesh - don't comment if you don't even know the rule.

I said an ALL TIME weak call...Doesn't mean the worst, just means it would have been a very memorable call that the next 3 days people would be talking about if they send KD to the line there(especially if they called it a shooting foul and not on the 1 to give). I fully recognize what happened to the Mavs in 06. I despise Wade. I'm a huge Lebron fan, therefore I am forced to root for the Heat.

Lebron has three field goals in the final 2 minutes in his Finals career (12 games). That is unfathomably bad for a player of his status.

They had a foul to give. Lebron should have tried to foul him before the shot, which it appears that he did after being caught napping on the inbound

So if it's a 6 point game and he makes a basket, it's not considered "clutch?" **** outta here with these arbitrary parameters.

Wow. I am not sure what you were watching but Durant had clearly already taken off as Battier was still sliding into position. Not a charge at all.

For a comparison, Dirk has eleven such field goals in 12 Finals games.

Why argue about any stat? Run the numbers for us on the 6 point games and let us know how much it changes things.

Durant leaves his feet, then Battier continues to slide forward into him. Again, this isn't Duke and the NCAA where you can slide underneath airborne players.

Lebron fellaters, can you really see the Heat beating the Thunder 4 straight?

So its going back to OKC?

Is battier still going to play out of his mind good?

Post up the complete list. I'm sure Boobie Gibson has more than three garbage time FG's in the final two minutes of a Finals game while Cleveland was getting emasculated by San Antonio.

This is going no less than six for sure. Neither team will win the next three in a row.

Danny,

You don't have to be immobile to get a charge. That's a pretty common misconception.

This ending reminds of game 3 Dallas-Miami last year. Heat blow a late lead as Wade melts down and watches helplessly as Dirk finally misses a shot at the buzzer.

I already changed the channel but it appeared to me that Battier had beat him to the spot and not moving.

People seem really charged up about this.

And 94, I'll comment if I want.

I see that possibility as much as people saw the Thunder beating the Spurs 4 straight. No one sees it happening, but it could.

Battier has stepped up huge in the first two games, but that doesn't mean other guys can't step up on the road for Miami, or that Lebron couldn't go next gear and get 40+ in a game.

You never know.

If Miami is going to win it, they will probably have to do it in OKC. But they could do that.
