I don't think he is a sissy. Cramps suck, but are usually the fault of the cramper. Poor diet or hydration.

What makes you take everything 100% literal?

You said that Lebron had a bruised vag. Obviously, I did not take you 100% literally. It seemed a reasonable interpretation that you were claiming that he was being a sissy. What did you mean, exactly?

(I agree that cramps are usually the fault of the cramper. Lebron is something of an iron man, though. He plays a lot of minutes, and I've never seen him cramp before tonight.)

Russell Westbrook's full answer when asked if he feels any vindication with his performance tonight: "No. Let me get this straight. What you guys say doesn't make me happy, doesn't make me sad. Doesn't do anything. It's all about my team and us winning a game. I don't have a personal challenge against you guys, and it's not me against the world. It's not the world against me. It's me and my teammates trying to win."

Westbrook's a good guy.

It really is hard not to want OKC to win.

I don't know where WFF is coming from. I guess he feels like LeBron has gotten a raw deal. But there's a reason everyone outside of Miami and Seattle want the Thunder to win this thing.

What a GREAT answer from Westbrook. OKC is going to be AWESOME over the next decade if they can stay together. Still so young, too.

If you guys can't tell, it's my personal conquest to disprove the haters of Westbrook outside of OKC. It's a ****ing uphill battle, but he's been one of my favorites ever since his days at UCLA (minus the game vs. the Ags of course)

Interesting stat...when KD and LBJ face off, the player with the most assists, their team wins (13 of 13)

judging from the support the heat get in the espn comments and from my facebook news feed, that's pretty much not true
Pahdz

Because basing something off the ESPN comments section and front running Facebook feeds is a good indicator

well he made the stupid comment that everyone is against the heat. those espn commenters are people, therefore he's wrong

see how that works?

I know, but have you ever really read the comment sections of ESPN articles (or YouTube videos, or Richard Justice blogs, etc)?

They are the slums of the internets.

Wade drove, they initially called a foul on Durant, then changed it to a foul on Westbrook.

hahaha.

Goes back to what I've been saying. I KNOW the game is tough to officiate and moves fast. But c'mon...

Durant clearly fouled Wade in that gif.

Where? With the body? Because it sure as **** wasn't on the hand.

I think it is very clear that Durant hit Wade's hand. Honest to God, that's what I'm seeing. Wade's hand wouldn't move away from the rim on its own.

When you watch, don't look at Durant's hand. Look at Wade's left hand. I think you'll see what I'm seeing.

Oh for the love of pete THAT is not a foul. He swatted the crap out of the BALL.

You know that's not a foul. Quit trying to make this hard. That's an easy bad call.

I didn't take you as being that much of a homer. It was a clean block.if you get the ball clamor you can go through the hand on the follow through.

Reefs knee it wad a bad call which is why they switched it from the guy with foul trouble to the guy without.
Pahdz

I do not see what you're seeing...sorry. What I see is Wade's left hand behind the ball, which means Durant makes contact with the ball before the hand. Hell it even looks like Wade was losing control of the ball.

An angle under the bucket maybe shows something different, but it doesn't change the fact that the actual call was on Westbrook

I have not heard that. If you're right, then maybe it is a no call. But he pretty plainly hit Wade's hand.

I dob't care one way or the other, by the way. But you OKC homers and James haters are wearing me out. You don't see us Lebron fans posting gifs of the first play of the game when James got hammered with no call.

Yes, Durant did hit the ball before hitting Wade's hand. But he also hit Wade's hand.

He clearly got clean ball before any skin contact. No question about it.clean block.

that was a bad call, but the odds worked out better for the Thunder there. Bosh caught it immediately and was going to get the easy bucket. At least it made Wade(who has been shaky at the line) to go make 2 at the stripe. He did that time, but he hasn't for a lot of the series.

Why we are spending so much time on a call that had no outcome on the game is beyond me.

The Ibaka "block" on Wade earlier was a clear goaltend, and all I see are people saying "well at least the refs didn't call a foul on ibaka that time" ...well it wasn't a foul, Ibaka went straight up and Wade initiated contact, but he goaltended the **** out of that ball and it went for a no call while Wade flailed to the ground asking for an ambulance. But that one didn't affect the game either.

Lebron was mugged multiple times down low, especially early with no call. The ref *****ing is getting old.

I'm still not sure about the rule. If a defender hits another players hand when it is contact with the ball, that is not a foul. But I don't think hitting the ball first gives you free reign to hit the offensive player's hand subsequently to making contact with the ball. I'm just not sure.

You don't have to be sure. We are sure, it isn't a foul.
Jacques
How long do you want to ignore this user?
At this point we have two no-touch fouls for the benefit of Wade, at a minimum.

An egregious no call on LeBron against Durant.

Durant apparently forgetting how to play the game without fouling.

A couple of no-calls on Wade that are inexplicable.

Add to this what you know of the 2006 season...

And how can anyone say the NBA has any credibility? How can Stern just smile and say the people that see a problem aren't just wrong, but complete idiots?

These are CLOSE GAMES. These calls are impacting them. Stern had no idea he had a cheating ref.

This league has serious problems.

WFF is not going to concede there's anything remotely wrong with the officiating in this series. He can't.

It wasn't a foul on Durant.. It was a clean block. However, there are several missed calls on both ends that we can debate about for hours on end.

This is the thing: Stern and the apologists actually make things worse by not conceding that this problem goes beyond just typical bad officiating.

Maybe without the Donnelly scandal it flies. But at some point, being told there's nothing to see here by a smiling, arrogant old man isn't going to be enough for NBA fans.

Stern has let it go too far. You can't claim some of these are just typical hard calls to make without hurting the integrity of the league, because they're not.
