Hot take and over reaction: Just one game, but I wonder if the whole Real Madrid saga is finally affecting TAA, especially after this past week of the open window. He obviously has always had his weak points on D, and besides having them completely exposed again today (credit to Dalot as well) his lackadaisical looking effort was really noticeable imo. VVD was livid and a lot was clearly directed right at TAA. He was directly part of the 2 goals conceded and it just looked like his head was elsewhere. Again, just one game and I could be (probably am) wrong, but as his Real Madrid/situation continues to drag on I just think it has to have an effect at some point. Also think the pressure and some heat from the fans (you can see it already with a bunch being done with the situation) is just going to continue until resolved one way or another.

On same topic in a sense, Bradley looked more impactful in his 10 minutes than TAA all game by far. Obviously he can't do what TAA can do with his legs and passing, but his D, speed, hustle and aggressiveness is awesome and what TAA doesn't have. Wish he had come in for TAA when up 2-1, but after being out for a month plus probably wasn't ready. But Bradley has looked great this year when he has played. He looked like the best player on the field against RM before he got hurt.

Anyways, I am just typing out my rambling thoughts on this for the heck of it. Thanks for listening

I don't want to pile on too much, but he was also forcing the ball downfield and giving it away too frequently. Just an out of character game.

I mentally moved on from TAA when he said publicly he wants to win the Ballon d'Or as a RB. Not going to happen, especially at Liverpool. He's already gone to Madrid, imo.

This. Trent was bad today, but Konate should've been subbed well before the second goal. Was a bit surprised that Quansah didn't get the start. Ibra was clearly not 90 minutes fit.

We were just totally off it yesterday. The pitch was super slow and wet which benefitted MU a lot. Took away the through ball and slowed the counterattack. We didn't wake up until MU scored the first goal.

Not able to watch but Quansah out in first half and replaced by Endo. Konate (barely) and VVD our only healthy CBs (again, no idea on the injury for Quansah at all though).

Yeah, that was a butt-ugly showing. Quansah and Tsimikas both possibly picking up knocks is bad news. Definitely didn't play well enough to earn a win, but giving up the goal the way we did was pretty harsh.

Quansah didnt pick up a knock, he was just sick. Looked like he was having trouble catching his breath due to respiratory issues.

Slot sounded a bit sick in his prematch conference and Szobo has been out of training due to illness. I thinks it's quite clear that a bunch of guys are under the weather. We simply haven't looked sharp in the last two games, which I think is due to multiple guys dealing with illness. Once we shake the flu bug out of the locker room I expect our form to return.

Ah, okay. I guess that's better news.

Nice and easy 4-0 win with a ton of young players getting minutes and a ton of key guys getting rest.
