Can anyone tell me the transfer we were linked with from I think a French club last summer (23 I think)? I think he was a #6. I think he had a last name that started with a K. I think he's French or Belgian. In my head he has dreads and used to wear black and red stripes but maybe I'm thinking of Lavia.

Nuñez with the start over Jota. And Kelleher in for the injured Alisson
Big opportunity for Nunez to show something. Jota hasn't been great last few matches.
I'm hoping to see Gakpo get a start in the Prem soon. I'm not sure he isn't in better form than Diaz right now.

Great win. Second half wasn't great and definitely took the foot off but all in all a happy performance.

I wasn't even taking a dig at Diaz, I just think Gakpo has been playing really well. Embarrassment of riches in the Liverpool attack right now.

Oooof this run of fixtures may define our season
That is absolutely brutal. Regardless of opponents, the amount of fixtures is ridiculous. Basically a game every 3/4 days for 2 months isn't tenable for anyone. But then throw in Real Madrid and Man City back to back in those time frames and it's just impossible.
Broken record here, but we really need to add some depth to our midfield. With Endo basically off the team, only Curtis Jones (and maybe Elliott when back) as our depth .....that just won't work.

It's nice to see some players speaking up about the number of matches. It's absolutely ridiculous, but the FAs and governing bodies don't care about the players. Only the $$$. And yes, we need more midfield depth.
To a certain extent thr answer is (or could be) bigger squads but that should (or could) lead to lower salaries among the player pool as the pot grows but so do the number of spoons in it.
We're going to have to rely on some of the kids during that stretch. Also every possible sub being used. This really is ridiculous.

What a whoopin....and with a ton of rest for a lot of guys. And only conceded an OG by Quansah (didn't get to see what happened here though)
Endo tried to clear it and it hit Quansah. One of those unfortunate wrong place, wrong time types when everyone is scrambling.
You could tell Quansah was trying to make amends and make the most of his opportunity to get back in Slot's good graces.
