Sigh, what a goal it was and what a pass. Commentator got it right, goes against the spirit of the game. There was no advantage gained by supposedly being offsides by a finger.

Exactly.
If a line along the last defender has the torso of the attacker behind it, is he really ahead if a knee or arm or whatever is barely at or beyond that. Like in sprinting your torso has to hit the line first, not your arm or knee or even your head.
It takes away attackers advantage of their speed and their momentum and leaning into it - of course their arm or knee or whatever will be forward.The defender is trying to lean the other way a lot of times.

Newcastle have not won in EPL since Jan 15 going 0-3-3 (swept Southampton in Carabao Cup). Not in great form. Losses were MC, MU and Liverpool but the ties were Bournemouth, West Ham and CP.
