Crazy to think we could have a Calzada/King/Stowers/Klubnick or Simpson stable. That would be the greatest collection of QB talent in our history, except for when Johnny Manziel was here by himself!

If he told them both that he is taking only one QB this class and whoever commits first is the guy, then I would have to assume that Klubnik has silent committed already.

Looks like Eric Gray will be visiting Texas and there are rumors LJ will not. Things are looking better for LJ to sign with A&M.

Things have looked good for over a week. Also just look at the recruiting activity for both schools at the rb position. We aren't doing much but tu is looking at other options.

Highest rated RB to join since 2012 in LJ Johnson.

That's 2 elite RB's for 2021.

Not sure what this means for 2022 class at the RB position.

With Weigman on board, we are now at #8 on 247 with only 4 commits.
One more top notch commit should put us at #5 behind LSU assuming 5-7 don't add some more. LSU currently has 9 commits.

Great QB to head the class. #4 QB and #77 overall prospect. Jimbo likes QB's that play baseball as well.

Kid grew up a sip fan, had a sip offer, but clearly has a good head on his shoulders. Seen a lot of JFF comparisons in his elusiveness so that can't be a bad thing either.

Really solid QB pickup considering what we already have in the QB room.

0* OT Hunter Erb joined the ranks. Offers started to roll in for this 6-6 305lb tackle but Jimbo reeled him in before the pundits and other D1's even realized he existed.

Since Jimbo left the pundits in the dust he'll likely end up as a 3*, but his intangibles tell a different story. Sure is nice having a staff that can identify talent on their own.

Completely agree with this. I loved Jimbo's response when asked what constitutes a successful class: "By my own evaluation. I'm not going to let anybody else judge players. If somebody has to tell me who's a good player, I don't need to be a coach."

There is definitely some merit to the consensus rankings on recruiting sites; however, having a coach that can recognize talent and how these players fit into the the coach's system is invaluable.

I would say WR is now the most important recruiting group of the 22 class. More specifically, true outside WR.
