On the scheduling argument, this philosophy of one real OOC game and 3 cupcakes is not the way it's always been. Some past schedules:
1988 - player 4 OOC games that included 3 ranked teams (Okie St, LSU and Nebraska).
1987 and 1989 - Played LSU and Washington (both ranked top 10).
1992 - Played Stanford, LSU and Missouri.
1993 - Played LSU, Oklahoma, Missouri and Louisville (ranked top 20). Yes those were all OOC.
Prior to 1986 we only had 3 OOC games so not as common to have 2 good OOC games but we did still on occasion (Cal and Ok St in 1983, Ole Miss, Georgia and Penn St in 1980, etc).
2 cupcakes is my max. I don't care what everybody else is doing (what was that saying about the bridge?). Seems easy enough we have one turd we can drop from our schedule every year the next decade and add tu and still keep our one premiere random OOC game plus 2 cupcakes.
