Kyle Allen could very well have the best NFL career of all Aggie QBs.

That is a sad indictment of our history (lack thereof) of producing NFL QBs. No offense to Kyle.

Also, to my surprise, Kyler's NFL career will be >>>> Kyle's.

Based on Noah's personal hatred for Kyle. KA left the team to escape the toxic freak show that Sumlin ran and now many of us here blame him for fighting the bad cards he was dealt with and trying to make something of himself.

I am rooting for Kyle. And Kyler.

LOL. I don't hate either of them, but I'm not gonna claim them as "Aggies." Bottom line: They both quit on their team before the season was over.

As for their careers, of course Kyle has a better record. He's on a better team, with better players around him, with a better coach. If you conducted an anonymous poll of NFL coaches how many would take Kyle over Kyler?

He could. I really didn't think he had much shot at it. Good for him.

At this point, I would guess a fair number would, certainly those who don't run a KK style offense. The few Cardinals games I have watched, 90% of Kyler's passes were screens or under 5 yards.

I don't know, Gary Kubiak had a pretty good career. How many QBs can claim they held the clipboard for John Elway.

With his Oline, that's all he has time for.

And the crappiness of their Oline is why I thought Kyler would struggle. He has actually done fairly well considering this.

Looks like Cam Newton is out for the season, so KA will be starting the rest of the year.

Kyle Allen didn't quit on his team. He quit on a coach he should have quit on. Forcing him to play injured, publicly blaming him, etc., I have nothing but admiration for a 5 star who tells his crap coach to shove it. Same goes for Kyler. If you are mad at anyone it should be Sumlin. Running two extremely talented QB's off is inexcusable.

Hmmm...was Caruso a 5* recruit?

As I've stated before, Kyle Allen has a much better arm than Kyler Murray. That said, Murray would likely have been better under Sumlin, but Allen would be fantastic under Jimbo.

I'm not sure why Sumlin even wanted the top rated pro-style QB for his system.

In all fairness, Sumlin completely fubar'd the QB room at A&M and as a result we gave him a $15 million check for it.
I hear he invited Taggart over and they had quite a chuckle about it..

He's a five star quarterback. He knows it. It's the coaches fault. He's going to jump ship and find another team. He believes in himself.

This happens all the time in the NFL. An unheralded QB has a great few games, everybody is talking about him, and then he tanks.

Once other teams get 4-5 games of film on a QB who isn't very good, they will start getting the better of him.

Wanted to recruit his way to wins since he's better at that than coaching.

Apparently you haven't noticed but Kyler is throwing primarily from the pocket. Of course he is flushed from the pocket some because his offensive line is the worst in the league. I'm amazed that he is still in the top half of the league in passing percentage after 14 games.

Bwahahaha well what about all the defensive players Sumlin recruited here? That went on to the NFL
Davante Harris, Dashawn Hall, Myles Garrett, Zay Henderson, Armani Watts, Justin Evans, Donovan Wilson, Otaro Alaka, Tyrell Dodson, Brandon Williams, Kingsley Keke,!

You think Sumlin recruited DEFENSIVE players? That's cute.

Hint: those players came here because of John Chavis...

No matter what happens from this point on, he still had a better run in the NFL than I thought he would after he couldn't hold the starting job at UofH.

I think his moment of playing well also bought him another two or three years to hang around the league as a backup.

Benched for Will Grier. 15 Int and 13 fumbles (7 lost) in 10 starts doomed him. If he could cut down on the turnovers maybe he could be a decent game manager.

I wouldn't give up on the kid just yet. If he'd get his interceptions under control, he'd be in pretty good standing. I'd like to see him play against the Colts and Saints to wrap up the season. I think he could handle the Colts, and his last game against the Saints (although a loss) was one of his best games of the season.

Here are his stats vs. the former Heisman Trophy winner.

CAM NEWTON - Last 13 Starts
W Giants 237 passing yards, 2 TD, 2 INT
L Redskins 275 passing yards, 2 TD, 1 INT

L Saints 131 passing yards, 0 TD, 1 INT
