~215 currently, aiming for 190 and then 175 to maintain.
Feeling inspired. Never really been big but always built like a sparkplug. Then I hit 35 last year and metabolism tanked. Getting chunky now and sorta panicking. Gained almost ten lbs from start of fall semester finals to today. Awful.
Plan is combined IMF and swapping back to more cardio centric workouts. That and consistency.
Posting to keep myself accountable this time.
Good luck everyone.

Aiming for 175 by June 1.
I've had a similar goal the last couple of years but failed to reach it.. finding it harder to lose the weight in my 40s. The wheels really fell off after Thanksgiving this year and I put on 15 lbs. I'm feeling super gross and ready to get back to a healthier lifestyle. I'm cutting out alcohol for at least January and until I lose 20lbs. LFG.

Let's be buddies. Our starting weight, age, and goals are very similar.

Was 217 at age 35.
Finally got goaded into a consistent fitness program.
Then I got goaded into a better diet to get better results.
I got to the low 160's about 4 years back and have stayed there now that I know how to do it and what it takes. It's all about being honest with yourself and deciding that a little bit of hunger is OK. It really is ok.
And food that is good for you will taste great to you once it is mostly all you eat.
It helps that I like to build things, and it wasn't that hard of a mental transition to think of my own body as a build project. How healthy can I be to feel like I want to and do what I want to?
