The latest update at the 4am from the hurricane center has most of the Houston morning weather meteorologists saying "minimal" impact even if this TS does hit Texas.

The latest advisory shows it moving fast through Texas as a tropical depression. So <39 mph winds for a few hours. If it moves south of us, we will be on the dirty side and may get some rain.

The current center is naked and completely decoupled from any convection. Unless makes a new center, its not very likely anyone will see any impact from this.
I noticed that. Crazy that the center is barely hitting New Orleans right now. While all the rain is offshore.
east Texas starting to mix it up a bit
I was pretty surprised when I opened up the weather app about 30 minutes ago and saw rain. Wasn't expecting that until tomorrow.
Cloud cover is a nice reprieve from what we had yesterday.

Up here in Georgetown it was 107 in the shade. At midnight it was still 91 degrees amd 51% humidity. I loathe this time of year.
