Sent my kids out to do a rain dance to make it rain and we got hammered for a good 20 minutes. Their rain dance consisted of chanting like they were in a cult and pouring water on their heads with Tupperware.

Welp, my neighborhood lost power the minute the winds whipped up.
It was right there in that spot with green grass. The grass is green b/c all of the debris flew over it at 60mph.98Ag99Grad said:

Should have hunkered down in a bunker.
What course and river is that? That's a full ass river...did N Texas get a bunch of rain or something? I have been so focused on my small area of Harris country I haven't been paying attention.evestor1 said:It was right there in that spot with green grass. Looks like Kingwood CC Forest Course - around hole 7?
I was at the Kingwood YMCA when it blew through and the wind was REALLY strong.

You guys missed out - I rode out the 60-70 mph winds behind a hill on the golf course...hunkered down behind a hill in the open. Lasted over 20 minutes.
Why was i out in the open? I was in the open bc the trees were getting struck by lightning and snapping in half.
Started at 108 and finished at 81. It was a good day!

Calibrate your sarcasm meter.
Most significant change: GFS has signed on with Gulf thing (after mostly ignoring it for past few days). Generally, models bring it into #Florida Tuesday night, possibly as hurricane—but implied motion across Gulf seems fast. Euro is slower & maybe more realistic. #Invest93L pic.twitter.com/kckgqRecAW
