IAH keeping pretty close to 2011, HOU blowing past 2011 bigly.
It's been hot AF and dry AF this year south of town for sure. I haven't seen rain since the beginning of June, and have been over 100 degrees every day except for 1-2 days around the 4th of July and with this last "cool front".
A couple of years old but SCW has noted in the past that the first cool front arrives on average on 9/16, or 29 days from now. Hopefully it will get here by then.Cromagnum said:

They were probably more acclimated to it. In the modern day we go from one air conditioned place to another in our air conditioned vehicles. It makes the outside feel even hotter.

Not surprised. Current models bury this system at the border. Unless there are big changes, I wouldn't hold onto hope for much rain around here.

I've lost several bushes and several trees are looking like dookie and my pond is about half empty. Really hope this drops some rain on us.
