The angle down the wall, despite being partially blocked by the security guard, clearly shows he went over the wall and into the stands.
Series changing call. Two runs off the board. Joe West chooses to see what he wants/has to see which is obviously against the Astros. Fat ******* could have easily called HR.

Joe West is an awful umpire much less field crew chief. He should be forced into retirement. I would have told yall that before this series. Now he should be immediately removed from this crew. Dude is awful.
100% obvious that MLB wants Boston vs. LA in the series and any close call is going to favor those teams.
That call last night, along with the mystery foul tip that went from K to walk and a couple of others were all Boston homer calls, the fake interference call changed the dynamics of the game right off the bat and took any initial momentum away from Houston. Even with it being early in the game, it changed the atmosphere without a doubt.

it is blatantly obvious what MLB is after. One thing I enjoy about this team is they always seem to rise to the occasion when their backs against the wall. My hope is that JV can throw a gem today in HTown, then Cole and DK can get **** done in Boston. If we can get it to game 7*, JV should be able to go a few too on 3 days rest.

At least the phantom foul tip didn't hurt us other than Josh James throwing a few extra pitches. Plus, loved seeing Maldonado gun him out on the steal attempt.
I hope Hinch lets JV go as long as he wants. Don't worry about pitch count until he gets up around 120 or he starts struggling to get through an inning. Basically, I hope we don't have to go to the bullpen tonight!

these calls don't matter that much if we don't have 50 thousand passed balls or wild pitches

I will be there too. We are down, but not out. Verlander will hopefully take care of business, then we have Cole again. No way Cole doesn't have a dominant performance two games in a row. Then, anything can happen in game 7.
