I made a wise-crack here in the office that waiting until the count was 2 and 0 to go yard in the leadoff spot for the season makes it look like we just don't have that sense of urgency we need...c'mon!!

Then I looked back at the 2017 leadoff Springer Dinger and noticed that was on a 2-1 count, so hell it looks like we're ahead of schedule, boys!

F that. Would it have been nice if it had worked properly?...Sure. But every other team in the league would have gladly traded places with the stros and been happy as a clam to have botched that unveiling.

Our 4-5 guys could be 1-2 for a lot of clubs. Even Dallas only allowed 3 runs. Quality outing.
