Last night sucked but it sucks to win a series against the team with the best record in baseball yet lose a game in the division. Worthless Rangers. The As now get to play a series again the worst team in baseball

It's alright, we end the season with a 4 game series against the Orioles.

Marwin

Umps
I'll give Marwin the benefit of the doubt because he has a cannon and it's a short left field. I'm thinking he thinks that if he can field the ball cleanly he's got the guy at home and he feels better about his chances of making the throw vs. diving. But, yeah, in hindsight if you've got Marisnick, Springer, Reddick, or probably even Kemp in LF at that point then they make the diving grab and the inning is over.

Of course, if the umps hadn't ****ed us with the call on Altuve then it wouldn't have mattered as much.

Shades of 2017 ALCS and all:

I heard some BS about how the review office said something like "he was touched by a lace of the glove" and this is directly from the MLB rule book on how a tag is defined. Note the section in bold:

Quote:

A TAG is the action of a fielder in touching a base with his body while holding the ball securely and firmly in his hand or glove; or touching a runner with the ball, or with his hand or glove holding the ball (not including hanging laces alone), while holding the ball securely and firmly in his hand or glove. It is not a tag, however, if simultaneously or immediately following his touching a base or touching a runner, the fielder drops the ball. In establishing the validity of the tag, the fielder shall hold the ball long enough to prove that he has complete control of the ball. If the fielder has made a tag and drops the ball while in the act of making a throw following the tag, the tag shall be adjudged to have been made.

ESPN said it was the laces last night on the broadcast. If that is what the reviewer said, he should be suspended at a minimum.

A team on a streak has to respect the streak. If you think you are winning because you are posting the same pair of ass cheeks straddling an oversized baseball after every win, then you are! And you should know that!

Hand, foot, and mouth disease is a highly contagiousinfection. It's caused by viruses from the Enterovirusgenus, most commonly the coxsackievirus. These viruses can spread from person-to-person through direct contact with unwashed hands or surfaces contaminated with feces

They have a soft schedule to end the year. They do have 3 game series against Tampa Bay and Seattle. It would be nice if they could lose at least 1 if not both of those series.

Another multi hit game with another double for the non-superstar. Who also hit the 100 run & 100 RBI total for the year. He's personally taking a massive elephant sized poop on 88's bird chest

If the Astros want to win the AL West, then it looks like they're just going to have to win every game until the end of the season.

You've got to give the A's credit, they've kept battling....I expect the Astros to ultimately win the division, but I don't want to see the A's in the playoffs.

Or if we do, it means they took out both the Yankees and the Red Sox

It's crazy, if we win the division we play Cleveland, who will have the worst record amongst AL playoff teams. The Red Sox will play the Wild Card team who is going to have a better record than Cleveland.

This is the year you don't want the best record in the AL.

Exactly. No need to worry about catching Boston for the best record(not that we were going to). Only need to focus on winning the division.

4.5 game lead, biggest lead in the division since August 10!

Don't care what the records are.

Cleveland has great lineup & starting rotation. Even with a crappy bullpen, it's still much better to have to face OAK or NYY (not that it matters at this point)
