Sorry to be cynical, but this rain event is starting to reach a level of overhype where I now believe a jinx is fully possible.

Everything staying to the north so far and it appears the rain chances for the rest of the week are starting to diminish. Guess I'll do everyone a favor and go wash my truck!
Based on the forecasts the past several days most of the rain isn't supposed to hit dfw till tonight through Tuesday am. They are still saying 4-6" for most of north Texas through half the state really.
I really hope they are right.

BAS is strong with this one. They are reporting 100% rain 48 hours starting tonight. I appreciate it being on me l, but this would be epic fail from our meteorologists across all forecasts.
If we wake up tomorrow morning with nothing across the metroplex then I hear you, Aggies will never win a NC again and DFW will dry up into a desert.
Keeps missing our place west of Cisco by about 20 miles north. Went from 5 days of 55% rain to one day at 75%.
Curious where the next waves are coming from because it seems like DFW is sitting in the gap for this round

Concrete still dry here. Been waiting on this since 3:00 yesterday. Glad it's coming down elsewhere though. As much as I need the rain we all just need some reservoirs and aquifers to be recharged.

Local media has been acting like they do with winter weather. The jinx is on.
FWIW, Accuweather.com has 100, 100, 88, 88, 40 for rain coverage Today through Thursday.
I'm not sure which service would be more accurate but there still appears to be chances of widespread rain in certain forecasts.
Additionally, Accuweather has 40 percent or more chance for next Saturday through the 31st, too.
It basically looks like this with higher coverage chances.
Delkus doesn't ever seem to use high percentages far out, which is the smart approach when >3 days away.
I'm not sure which service would be more accurate but there still appears to be chances of widespread rain in certain forecasts.
Additionally, Accuweather has 40 percent or more chance for next Saturday through the 31st, too.
It basically looks like this with higher coverage chances.
