Hey boss, sorry I missed your post! But there's a gun store in Austin called McBride's that I spend a lot of down time at when I can. Old man McBride is just an awesome old fella and invites me into the back with him every time I'm there to shoot the breeze. I always end up buying my more expensive guns from him (Silver Pigeon and White Lightning shotguns, etc) because even though he'll bish and moan, I can usually talk him into a better deal on whatever it is I'm looking at. And he makes a ton of money off of me anyway so he doesn't mind too much. Anyway, I've wanted a Dan Wesson for awhile and they've had that one up front for at least several months. It had a "consignment" tag on it though and I don't usually buy used guns. Anyway, last time I was there, he says something like "are you just wasting more of my time or are you gonna buy something?" I said "I'd probably buy that Dan Wesson if it wasn't used." He says "what the hell are you talking about, it's brand new, never been fired." We walk over there and sure enough, the consignment tag was a mistake, so I couldn't say no.
It's a great looking gun.

Yes, it's factory. Every year Dan Wesson puts out a new "heirloom" model pistol. This is a 2022. The 2023 heirloom is completely different as was the 2021. From what I read, they only make "hundreds" of them each year. Unfortunately I don't believe the engravings are done by hand, but they still look pretty great.
Posted this one on other threads before but I finally think I got it just right for me. Wilson Combat 365XL frame with the X Macro comp slide. Frame just big enough for a full grip, small enough to easily conceal.

We were at a steel challenge last week. I had several malfunctions with my old MK III. Dubi told if I borrowed another's gun and it ran the rest of the match she'd buy me one. That was too good a deal to pass up!
