I'm a late addition to the group but THIS is the week to start the new me!

I have only once in my life tried to lose weight seriously. But unbeknownst to me at the time I not only had low-T but also severe sleep apnea. Needless to say it was rough going and after a few months the slow gains, slower losses, and even slower recovery were just killing me.

But I've got both of those issues under control and really want to give it one more try to get the weight under control. Its perhaps the best v-day present I can give my wife and kids.

All caught up now thanks for the 3 entry weigh in.
Had to help my inlaws move and wrecked my diet but was able to get back on track. Best part is you created the extra slot just in time for me to do my late entry.

I think I'm dropping weight too fast, started at 267, I weighed in at 243 today, but I also totally changed my diet and intake, and doing lots and lots of exercise.

Dang it. Two weeks of working long hours out of town got to me. I gained 2 Lbs this week.

Joined a crossfit gym, and they're punishing me about 3-4 times a week for an hour. I'm gaining muscle almost as fast as I am losing fat..that's my current problem.

I use a new cruiser bike, elliptical, Marcy machine weights, recumbent exercise bike, dumbbells and walking for me. Occasional jumping jacks and squat thrusts, which keep getting easier.
My wife is doing cruiser bike, kettlebell and recumbent bike.
Now she is strong enough to run the elliptical.
We miss only 2-4 workout days a month and we try to workout every day.
We still eat a normal dinner, taco tuesday at rosas, fajitas on wednesdays, and chinese food on the weekend. Only "safe" pizza that is remotely "diet" and tasting good is the old fashion Chef Boyardee pizzas.

Right now I am feeling good about feeling good and old clothes fitting again.

I'm still plodding along slow but steady. 1 or 2 Lbs each week (except that week I fell off the wagon and gained 2 back.
I'm down 10 Lbs since the start of this. I'm fitting in pants & shorts that I couldn't wear last year and I'm using a different notch in my belt!

And I'm still only doing this by managing my diet. Here is what I've done:

No soda at all since 1/1
Very limited fast food (less than 10 times since 1/1)
Limited beer
Lots of water
Smaller portions of meat at meals (I hate this part)
Lots of fruit & veggies

I told myself at the beginning of the year that If I could lose 10 Lbs by managing my diet then I would start exercising. So now I gotta find something to do..........

I do the same thing every week. I will drop 3-4 pounds one week then gain about a pound for 3 weeks. Very annoying and very slow

Just hope I can keep it off while going on 2 short trips around spring break.

I've just been doing Weight Watcher's at work. My work funds 25% of it. I've lost 35# in 18 weeks so far.

I have been terrible from the start of this. I just made a $50 bet with a friend to see who can lose the most weight by July 4 for extra motivation. I have to get my tail in gear now.

Spring Break visit with Daughter in Dallas.
We ate very well.
Now I have 4 more pounds to get rid of, but I will get rid of it.

I've been bad about checking in, but I'm down about 10 pounds from the start of the year, and I've kept it off for the past 3 weeks with no loss or gain, but not much exercise either. I'm going to start running again.

Dang, I would have been on this from the start if I had paid attention to the board. Was 217 at the start of the year and started my new routine mid January. Down to 199-200 right now and still losing.

After 10 weeks of doing nothing I have been able to keep my intake under 1500 calories for the past 3 days. Hopefully I can keep it up. I have used MyFitnessPal off and on and just started using it again.

I had forgotten all about this. I don't remember what I started at but I'm down to 288 as of yesterday morning which is my lowest weight in 9 years down from a peak of 330 last year.

Broke back through my plateau again and burned off "Dallas". I can feel it working, I can see it working, and I want to see this through.

Had to go a funeral and didn't have to worry about buying clothes just to go.
